The combination of American comfort and European slightly quirky sophistication makes you feel at home. Staff was very friendly and proud to serve. I didn't have time for the movies, books and arts but it gives a great touch to being there. The room was very large, with nice period furniture - the room had a mini library, with plenty of books that were actually readable! this is a great boutique hotel.

The internet speed was very low. That was disappointing.It looks a little old. No prior notification that the external facade was under renovation.Too noisy (window over Lexington Av.); bedroom service was not very efficient (I had to request the cleaner would leave more coffee and sugar or soaps. Rooms can be noisy and are a bit dark. the lobby was very shabby and could do with up dating after all its the first place you see. The hotel is worn out, and need a major renovation. The room was small. The shower doesn´t work properly and doesn´t look nice.The internet connection was very slow, close to impossible to use. This hotel is not good value for money.At breakfast the restaurant staff is not so kind. the hotel decor is very very shabby. worn carpets to a thread. peeling wallpaper peeling paint. broken lamps and hairdryers. Even on the 7th floor quite nice with a room at the front side.
