The hotel was perfectly located near to Union Square with a really nice staff, especially the blond georgian girl. For a 3stars hotel it was perfect: very clean, very cosy and comfortable. I loved the shower, it's the first time I'm happy with the bathroom although I'm traveling all the time and took some 5stars before. There is an atm machine in the hotel which u can take off money, but it's limited to not even 200 dollars. There is a map with metrolines available for free and you have coffee .
all reviews » - Location: the hotel is situated only a few steps from the Flatiron building. It is a nice area with beautiful places for having breakfast and dinner. Visit the markets at Union Square and General Worth Square. - Our room was very spacious and nicely furnished. Actually, our room was too big since we only went there to sleep. - Staff was very, very friendly and helpful! We needed an iron which they organized within 5 minutes. Also the cab to JFK was no problem. Thank you guys! - Free coffee . The hotel staff were very very helpful, we arrived at 8am and couldn't check in until later (we know this) they looked after our bags, gave us maps and pointed us in the right direction. The stay was wonderful, they helped us with local information and arranged menus for the restaurant downstairs to be brought to us in our room. after checkout the next day they looked after the bags again till the evening, helped us make our way back to the airport and helped with our bags. This was an amazing place to stay! Very clean, safe and the room was bigger than it looked on the web page. The staff were excellent! Best for a restful night after staying out in city. Good prices versus other boutique hotels in the area. No need for a bar or restaurant in the hotel, plenty of options nearby. Fully recommend it!. OH EM GEE! I have to say that this was the best hotel I have stayed at in NYC as far as customer service goes. Everyone was kind and willing to help and go the extra mile. The rooms were average size for nyc but the design was modern and sleek and SUPER clean. I would definitely stay there again !. Thought the rooms were a good size. In the Flatiron district off Fifth Avenue so lots of shopping to be had fairly close by. The staff was very thorough and professional. The staff is so incredibly helpful and 100% available. The hotel lobby smells really nice. The rooms (I checked into 2 rooms at this hotel) are spacious. The bathrooms also are very spacious. Additional taxes added almost $100 to our bill that we didn't know about (probably written in the fine print but we didn't read this.) NYC is expensive in general but the cost seemed high in comparison to size of room and services. There was little availabily of ice or drinks. 1. The desk in the room was a bit small. 2. The water pressure of the shower could be improved. Rug had a pretty big stain. Room was very small. No view. Had to call front desk each time you wanted to change in room temperature (very strange). Construction in the hotel basement during time we stayed there was noisy and dusty at times. - Elevator was out of service - but employees helped us carry luggage, so really it was rather positive as well. The thermostat was controlled by the front desk. The room did get warm throughout the night. no in room coffee, but free coffee downstairs in the lobby. no real room for clothes and luggage. Metro and street noise, but it's NYC!. The tiny - 30cm wide wardrobe in a room that could sleep 4, the stained carpet and the space between the second bed which was so narrow that I hit my elbow on the huge TV surround. I did not like the subway rumbling under our room all night long. It was quite impossible to get to sleep. We had a room with no window. To be fair, there was a sky-light, but it was up at least a full story. It was unnerving and uncomfortable. Our room was not available until late evening as we had dinner and theater plans. It was not cleaned the next day, although the housekeeper knocked and provided us with clean towels as we were preparing to attend a wedding around 4:30. The room was excessively warm and could only be cooled by opening the door. The desk was unable to help. The bathroom needed more counter space of some type. We weren't thrilled with the way you needed to keep the place lit. And the foam-style bed wasn't very comfy!. My cab driver had a little trouble finding the hotel because the signage wasn't to clear/obvious; but the staff helped. Room was extremely hot and no way to turn on cool air. Water pressure not very good. Fire alarm and evacuation caused us to miss showers before concert, no offer of compensation. Not much. I noticed the lobby could probably use a new paint job from the perspective of standing at the counter making a payment, but that certainly won't stop me from staying there again. The street view of the room was limited. The sheets weren't completely clean. Bare walls in the room were a little bleak. They did not have my reservation as someone had logged it on the wrong date. They were able to accomodate us with a room within an hour. the lighting system. corners of the bed frames are dangerous. hurt legs several times. should be changed!!!!!!. Seems like the sound isolation was not very good, I hear drums from the neighbor. Hot water issues, not enough cupboard dpace. nothing. There wasn't a toilet brush in a restroom. It was too noisly outside the room. We heared the voices and steps of other guests next floor and outside the door. It did not affect me but the friends I traveled with did not have a window in their room and I could see how that would be bothersome. I would not have liked that and I was very glad it was not my room. The room had no window and it was dark. We would like to have a small fridge in the room.
