Rooms were newly remodeled. Bedding was clean, room nicely made up. When notified of a TV problem, it was addressed quickly.

Bath gel out, and even tho we asked for a small bottle, the staff just kept telling us it was on the wall. We reserved for 4 ppl, towels in bath for only 3.

Brilliant hotel - clean, great staff and unbelievably comfortable bed! Perfect location and very quiet so great nights sleep. Right by Macys so brilliant for 34th street shopping. Highly recommend. 10/10 oh and very yummy cheesecake in the resturant!

Maybe bigger towels for the bathrooms? Not a big deal though

I have to say that my favorite part was the staff. When I arrive they didn't have a double room so they gave us 2 rooms with king beds for the same price. Also every time I had a question they answered in a kindly manner!!! LOVE IT by the way the renovations are GREAT...

I didn't like the street the hotel is. It appears that there is like a drug spot because every night there was a lot of random people around and it was scary sometimes. Other than that it was perfect.

We got there really early and they checked our bags so we could explore until check in. Everybody was super nice and friendly. The building and the room were cleaned well. Liked teh soap and shampoo dispencers in the shower. Our view was great. Room served the purpose. Location was perfect!! Overall great stay and would come back.

Elevators were very small and very slow. Made it difficult to people to check in and out and for people to ride comfortably. Wasn't the biggest fan of the attached restaurant. Looked different online. Very different, but there plenty other of great eats close by. Bathroom could have more storage space since there are not real counter tops

The location was superb, the staff excellent, and it was a perfect base for us. We will return when we come back to NY and are already recommending you to family and friends.

The room was a bit cramped for 4 people. This is the only fault that we could find, but it was a small compromise when you consider the location and the deal that we got.

the bedding was SO comfy! everything about our room was VERY nice and clean (and I'm very fussy so i was pleased)

the air conditioner only had two settings so it was freezing or boiling. the wifi cut out for our entire last da.

Staff was excellent, especially Terrence, who gave us breakfast vouchers after they mistakenly gave us the wrong room key-card. The entire staff could not have been more helpful and friendly. Restaurant/bar in hotel was also excellent, with good, friendly service.

There was a dumpster right in the front of the hotel entrance; I'm guessing it was because of the renovation, but it didn't present a very good first impression of hotel, and made grabbing a cab/dropping off a bit more difficult. Also, the air conditioning in the room was rattly and noisy.

The beds were very comfortable but when moving around they were a bit squeaky, The hotel was being remodeled during our stay and they were getting new beds they just had not gotten to our floor.

Location terrific for subway use, near grocery (Whole Foods & another local natural food store) & other stores. Excellent, helpful staff. Three newspapers every morning. Very good restaurant with fast room service. Even received call to check if room service was satisfactory!

Hotel under renovation, so mostly only 1 of 2 elevators accessible, small rooms but this is NYC so expected it. No refrig to keep water in sultry city.

The staff was very friendly, the pictures of the hotel is real: "What you see is what you get" - The beds are comfortable, rooms has a good size for a hotel in Manhattan - Clean and nice! The bar is open til 02.00 and has a smoking area. There is free coffe in the lobby in the mornings, and fresh water and ice tea doing the day. Staff is helpful and smiling. All in all it is a really good and nice hotel to stay in. It is quiet at night time, and is therefor both family friendly as group friendly. It is one of the best stays I have had in Manhattan, and I have been there quite some times.

There is not really anything I didn't like.

Staff welcome was excellent, location was great, quiet and yet quite central. The receptionist -very friendly person- (unfortunately I did not take his name) accommodated our request without hesitation. We were given a room at top floor with excellent view over downtown. I will definitely return there, although it is 20 mins walk to Times square.

All was great, also the check out at 12:00 was very good.

the location is walking distance from Flatiron - very central. we were on the top floor so we couldn't hear any noise which was perfect. the rooms were also decently sized to be NY

The location! Even the room was clean and quite well furnished as well. A special mention for the staff - it was hospitable enough to listen and help us out at times. A pleasant stay overall. Would surely stay again in this hotel for the convenient location, decent room and helpful staff :)

A little pricey for the room size. Plus the view from our room on the fourth floor (backside) was far from pleasant ! But given that we were roaming throughout the days (and even nights at times) it did not make any difference.

The service was great we arevied early, the room was not ready at the time but was able to leave my luggage in a safe place. Shortly later the room was ready. The room has a great view and very homely felling. I will stay in my next visite to NY. Thank you for a great stay.

Do never choose the option that you want to pay at the hotel. Instead pay before via letsbookhotel.com. They charged us 25% more at the hotel and it took some days and the help from letsbookhotel.com (thanks a lot) to get our money back.

The check in was a surprise and delight. We were treated to beer and cup cakes on check in. The bed was really comfortable and although not large, the room was cosy. Location is great and a right balance between the major sites north and south.

Only 2 elevators which did cause a little bit of waiting time but not a major problem.

Location - although on the edge of some pretty seedy streets - was great in that it was easy to get almost everywhere, from there.

Room was slightly larger than a shoe box and was good for little more than sleeping, showering, and storing a few clothes. But, who goes to NYC to stay in their room?

Loved the location in Chelsea. Near Whole Foods. On 23rd was the Malibu Diner, which was great for breakfasts and very reasonably priced. Near the a line. Comfortable beds. They allowed us to check our luggage after we checked out so we could explore a little more before we needed to leave for the airport. Very nice staff. Clean rooms. Free popcorn and apples.

The rooms were very small. Room for 2 dbl beds with about 1 ft from the wall and 2 ft between each bed and about 3 ft between the foot of the bed and the dresser. Room and bathroom appeared clean but on the second day we began to smell something sour, like sour towels. That persisted. I don't know if the cleaning staff used a sour rag to clean our room or if some of the towels were sour but it was not a pleasant smell.

The staff were brilliant. On check in we discovered another persons luggage in our room. They promptly removed that and then put us in another room....along with 3 free breakfasts, cocktails, beer and food! Gave us a late check out at no extra cost and the bar staff are very friendly. A great, clean comfortable room and not far from the sights or subway. I would stay again.

Although the rooms were a little small as were the beds, it was very comfortable and we slept well every night. Not much road noise on the 16th floor and a quiet hotel in general. So, not a complaint but going from past reviews I can see why the beds are mentioned. But hey..its NYC. Who wants a big bed?

The staff was outstanding in friendliness, courteous, follow-thru, contact and communication. I had even forgotten some jewelry in the room, and it was kept secure in the hotel safe until I was able to retrieve it. Awesome hotel staff.

The rooms were clean and the beds were very comfortable. The staff were very accommodating, organising our return journey to the airport and looking after our cases after we checked out.

The Wi-Fi didn't work for some of our stay. We didn't have the best of views from our room and it was occasionally quite noisy outside, but both are to be expected in Manhattan.
