We really liked the Belnord's location. It is in a quiet street close to Central Park, in the Upper West Side. It is only one block away from the subway station where Line 3 takes you all the way to Lower Manhattan without changing trains. The hotel room is small and the bathroom is really very compact, but that is the norm in New York. The room, bathroom and linen were all very clean and adequate supplies of soap and shampoo were provided. The staff were helpful and efficient although not over.
all reviews » the area is fantastic, not far from the subway, so easy to get to where the action is, but quiet enough to get some rest. there is a good shop near by that you can grab some food and drink from, a Starbucks 2 minutes walk away and a big daddy's diner down the road which was grand (especially if you like pancakes). My room had plenty of space! exactly how it showed on the photo. The bathroom was clean had a very good shower and a massive mirror. The room was simple but clean and comfortable and . The beds are super comfortable and warm. The hotel is perfectly located for Central Park and is just one block from the metro station. It takes about 10 minutes on the train to get into central downtown. The staff were very accommodating and helpful. We arrived very early and had an airport pickup well after check out. On both occasions we were able to store our suitcases and use the hotel facilities so that we could make the most of our time in NY. Very good location in Upper West Side. Safe neighborhood with lots of food and shopping. Close to subway and Central Park. Room was warm, so the openable window was nice. I like that the stairs are right off the lobby and are well-lit and welcoming, so I could use them instead of the elevator without feeling that I was taking a chance with my safety. We have stayed here 3 times and this is our backup hotel if I can't find a bargain elsewhere. Hotel located in a perfect position, 10 minutes walkig distance from Central Park and only 40 from Times Square... The subway station is so close, 1 min walking, and you can go anywhere... Very quiet and clean hotel. Definitely recommended and should we go back to NY we would stay there again!. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The location is fantastic with easy access to the subway. Most of all, for the price, it is amazing how comfortable the accommodations are. Although the room is VERY small, the bed is comfortable, the water in the shower is hot and it is very quiet. The rooms and hotel overall were very clean. And hardwood floors instead of carpet are a great, safe alternative. I felt comfortable walking barefoot The staff was friendly, helped with subway directions, and called a car service for us which also was very clean and polite. You can't put a price on feeling safe coming home late at night, nor on the convenience of having the subway and shops so close. The hotel is well run and clean. This hotel is one of the best choices for those who will audition in Manhattan School of Music, for it only takes a few stations from subway.The Front office Desk staff who checked me in on my arrival date and the staff who processed my check out were exceptionall warm, prompt and courteous. They attended to every concerns I had and advised appropriately. The hotel is located in a good area just steps off Broadway on the upper West Side. It is one of the lowest cost places to stay unless you go the hostel level. When I book with your website I did not know that I have to pay city tax extra . And the hotel courting the money wrong for me . Not a lot but still bother me. The front staff is excellent and helpful. They had a lot of foreigners and "complainers" whom I saw checking in and they handled them very well. The room was quite small, even for a single person (it's not that big of a deal - it is Manhattan after all). Nothing. Need additional pillows, 2 not enough when no other place to sit and read but bead Clothes hooks in bathroom would be great addition. The rooms were very small. The hallways were very narrow. I had no reception for my phone in the hotel location and none of my devices could connect with the wifi. expectedly small room. Noise can be a problem, especially the heating system turning off and on constantly. The room and especially the bathroom was too small.
