Having to pay for Wi-Fi. It's a real minus for your hotel in this day and age. Having to pay for water that you believe to be complimentary .

the staff are amazing, professional, knowledgable and nothing was too much trouble.
I liked the design of the rooms and the decor. Two TV's was a plus. Nice bathroom, with door closing off toilet. Easy access to all the fine shops, and restaurants, and within walking distance to the harbor. We felt safe and secure. The front desk staff were unbelievable helpful and friendly, addressing you by name.
Our king suite didn't seem to be stocked...we had to ask for bath robes, and an iron and ironing board. Our TV in the Master didn't work, although the tec did get it going. The most disappointing thing was that it smelled terrible of smoke. We slept with both patio doors open both nights. The mini bar was only stocked with one bottle of white wine...if there had been two...we would have drank 2.

NO FREE INTERNET IN THE ROOMS- very very poor. Most hotels around the world are IT friendly for free.
Location location location. In the heart of Soho! Great roof top bar. Should serve breakfast up there.
Furnishings need updates. Worn out fabrics on sofa. Bathrobes worn out. Stayed here about 10 years ago and everything was plush but not not now. No coffee maker in room.

rooms a little small
The room was clean and comfortable although the outlook from the window was onto an unspectacular building! However the room was quiet and relatively peaceful after the noise of New York city! The hotel was in a great location for subway, jazz venues, small restaurants and eclectic shops. All the staff were very pleasant and helpful. We loved the roof terrace and had a lovely cocktail while enjoying the fabulous views out over the city.
The entrance to the hotel - very dark with the scaffolding up outside - first impressions were not great. The extra charge for using the internet - yet another cost!

Room not ready when we arrived, room not cleaned one day
The location is fantastic- right in the heart if soho on a safe block. The bar and restaurant on the ground floor are worthy of visiting even if you're not staying at the hotel.
The room was a little small, though well-appointed. Some of the staff seemed a little nosey, but maybe that was just me.

1. We did not get the room we had booked. Only after telling the staff, we got another room in accordance to our booking. 2. Noise outside our room two nights until 2 AM. I only complained the second night, but too slow reaction from the staf.
Very nice hotel, Soho is exellent area to do shopping and have good food.
A very nice hotel, extremly nice staff (among the best I met). A calm and attractive place to stay and rest after a hot New York/ Manhattan day. Nice bar and a very good restaurant in house. Always fresh water and some nice snacks every night in the room. Stayed 8 nights and will gladly come back. A summer stay when the out door terrrace is open.

Staff were professional and helpful. The complementary brownies and blondies that was provided everyday was a nice touch.
The thermostat did not seem to work and the room became really hot. We had to open the window on the last morning to regulate the room temperature.

We were visiting daughter who lives nearby - so location, style and comfort level, Appreciated the upgrade to Thompson Suite as we had daughter and friends in for drinks after dinner out because we had room and glasses, staff was great. Robes, bath provisions.Complimentary water with turndown service.

Some aspects of the room were a little dirty, like the bed back-wall, and the lower bed surround. Difficulties with room overheating due to morning sun, so perhaps thicker curtain or blind would be helpful? (room 107)
Great location in Soho, cool hotel, rooms and amenities good. Recommended. Note: roof terrace only open from May to September which is a shame.

in september new york wasn't hot as summer time. But the air condition in the room was only for cooling. We were cold in the room. Once we call the technician he told us nothing to do which is not good.
Room 90 was very nice and housekeeping was great. The location is great for dining shops etc.. I have family in the area and the location made it easy to get around.
I travel 200 days a year. From the time I check in I felt the front desk attendants thought they were actually doing me a favor. The room was not ready at 4:00 pm the staff could of a least offered a bottle of water, while I waited.

Paper thin walls and noisy plumbing

The staff was very helpful.
My room was supposed to be ready for check in at 3, they didn't give me my keys till 8. I put my luggage in my friends room. They told me the previous guest didn't check out on time. Couldn't sleep at night, it was so noisy outside, poor insulation.
The hotel do not warn in advance that some areas of the hotel are closed for private parties: terrace, bar,.. so you have to stay at the lobby.... Facade in restauration and you can not open the curtains.
