  At arrival the door man and bell staff were very friendly. The rooms are large and beds very comfortable with soft linens. Bathroom has a GREAT separate shower with large tub very nice.   This hotel is boutique style, which we always prefer, with an upscale, elegant mixture of traditional and modern decor, and not corporate or pretentious or stuffy at all. The lobby is grand, gorgeous and welcoming, soft and dimly lit for a trendy, romantic, yet professional feel. The special touch of a collection of my favourite snacks for my second stay there value-added to the whole experience. The location was excellent and safe for getting to and from the french quarters and the convention centre. The cafe red gravy down the road was a fantastic place for breakfast each morning!
