This was my first time at Coral beach resort.. We had a amazing time! The staff was amazing.. We loved the bartender dave. He was great. He was one of the best bartenders I have had. I went to the bar everyday and ordered the same drinks bc he made them exactly the way I liked I spent over $130 at the bar during our 4 day stay there.. The front desk attendants was awesome. Asha was really nice and very helpful and between her and denise they really helped me out with upgrading my room to oveanf.
all reviews » I loved all of the pools. The kiddie pool was a hit with my four year old daughter. There were three hot tubs, One outside and two inside. The bowling alley was really nice. They played great music videos that were kid friendly. The atmosphere was great and the prices were reasonable. I also loved my room. The view was amazing. We were on the highest floor with full oceanview. It was worth every penny extra to have that view. We could also see all of the outside pool areas from our ba. My family and I thoroughly enjoyed Coral Beach Resort. It is truly a great find on Ocean Blvd. As a frequent visitor of Myrtle Beach, Coral Beach is the best place we stayed so far! Large enough for three people, my husband, a 10 year, and myself. The most notable things: very large room with 2 comfortable beds and very soft sheets; fast, I mean fast elevators!! Extremely clean property (from my view, I saw a pool being cleaned -- it took roughly 2 hours (awesome), breakfast vouchers -- hot bre. This was my second visit and I found a major difference in my stay overall. The room I leased was quite clean and very comfortable. It had obviosly been remodled. And I must say very tastefully done. From the granite counter tops and new cabinets in the kitchen to the marble bath I was very pleasntly supprised..I Also thought the addition of the crown molding throughout was quite nice..Very chic and up to date.. The staff was some of the most professional and kind that I have experienced in qui. Love how clean and updated the hotel was. I've stayed at a lot of resorts in Myrtle Beach and Coral Beach Resort really impressed me. The room didn't smell like mildew, like a lot of other beach hotels do. Stayed in room 444 and the kitchenette was a great money saver! They have everything you need in there (except a can opener!) the staff was efficient and when we needed a manager, she was very helpful and friendly. 4 jacuzzis! And the karaoke every day is very cool. The room was stayed in was. Everything about this hotel is amazing. It is so kid friendly and right in the middle of everything. Plenty to do inside of hotel for the entire family. The room's and suites have a home feeling to them and are so clean. Everyone from front desk to laundry are so friendly and go that extra mile to make sure you are happy with your stay. We spent Thanksgiving in room 1108 with a full Ocean view and it was great we weren't ready to leave and go back home to Florida. We will go back and enjoy it a. I really liked the fact that we were on the second floor and that we didn't have too far to travel to the beach. Our children are 12 and 8 and we felt very comfortable allowing our children to journey back and forth to the hotel and beach. Of course they were together, but even over the holiday, we felt very comfortable. We also liked the fact that there was plenty for our children to do and lots of events for the holiday. This hotel is centrally located and close to everything. All of the front and back of house staff that we met were very friendly, professional and accommodating. Our original intention was to stay for just one night but we extended for two more nights as it was so enjoyable. All of the pools were very clean and there was a nice family atmosphere around the outdoor areas during live music sessions in the afternoon. The location was great at oceanside. The staff was very friendly. The resort had many amentities for the family and had the weather cooperated, we would have used all the outdoor areas. We loved the availability of bowling on site and games area. The upgrades at the hotel were a nice addition to the hotel. All areas kept clean. We enjoyed the efficiency unit. We stayed 2 nights and had a king oceanfront suite on the 9th floor and the view was amazing. I liked that there was a bowling alley, lots of pools and hot tubs to choose from, a restaurant and convenient store and a bar overlooking the beach. The concierge was fabulous with her knowledge of the area and everyone was very pleasant. The indoor pool was very much appreciated. The children enjoyed the size of the pool. The lazy river is heated and was enjoyed by the children. The adults enjoyed the hot tubs. The bowling alley was a nice addition although we did not have a chance to actually use it. LOVE that Coral Beach is on the beach and the ocean view!. I read all of the reviews before we arrived. Not sure of what we would find. BUT, I have to say we loved everything about the resort. The staff were helpful and kind. The elevators worked great. No wait. The pools were CLEAN. Very convenient to everything that we needed. We also felt safe here. We already booked for next year. The location was great, the room was adequate, needed deep cleaning, i.e. the main one was the fan under the microwave stove area, was disgusting didn't want to look under there it could ruin your whole day. Bus that said It was a wonderful stay, and would stay again. This was a opinion from myself, sister, and my husband. The ease of checking in. The friendliness of staff. The buffet breakfast was great and the wait staff were friendly and on top of everything. I looked unhappy at the bacon selection and immediately someone asked if they could help and immediately brought be back some crisper bacon. I will return for another stay there. The staff was very accommodating. Our room was musty/dirty smelling so they moved us to a different room. I had to buy Febreeze anyway to freshen the second room, but it was better than the first. When a light bulb burned out maintenance came right away. When we needed extra pillows, etc, the staff was very pleasant. All the staff were very polite and accommodating. The room was clean and well stocked with all of the necessary household items. I liked the fact that there was a bowling alley on site even though we didn't get a chance to use it. Great item having a general store on site too. I would definitely return. Great pool facilities inside and out. Had great daily entertainment. Loved the nightly Karaoke Parties that were kid friendly as well. Bowling Alley was a big plus and their food there was simple but tasty which had a very reasonable price tag so you really don't need to leave the resort for anything. Room - one bedroom suit that accommodated up to 6- was spacious. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes, glasses, etc. We cooked lunches and dinners in our room and appreciated having everything at hand. The 3rd bed was a "Murphy" bed and was much more comfortable than a pull out couch. lots of activities and you don't even have to leave the hotel. The suite we stayed In was nice. Housekeeping was some really nice people. I loved the view from the oceanfront balcony of my suite on the 12th floor. You really do have a nice selection of swimming pools, and hot tubs. We like the size of our suite and the generous supplies in the kitchen and bathroom. Housekeepers never harassed us in any way. Although there were many visitors, a sense of quiteness still prevailed. We really enjoyed our 45th anniversary weekend there. Will be coming back soon. The indoor pools and hot tubs were a big hit for my kids (ages 4 and 6). The value was amazing- we had a 1 bedroom suite with full kitchen. My daughter loved the murphey bed. There was so much space for the 4 of us. We only stayed 1 night, wish it could have been longer!. Every thing staff was really great front desk Deana went way out of way to help, also restusarant worker Dave he went wat out beyond his job to help us settle into our rooms. This place was very secured. Also indoor pool & hot tub was great. The size of the suite did not feel like a regular hotel room, the full size kitchen would be perfect for a family traveling with young children. The MOST comfortable down pillows I have ever slept on; I bought two of them to take home :).Location location location!. The overall experience was great. The price was a very important factor. That is how the decision was made to choose this particular resort. They had so much too offer. The views were fantastic. The staff were A1. My family and i will visit and stay there again. The pools, and the room was spacious, the staff was friendly, liked all the stuff the kids had to do, walkind distance to the strip is not bad, and parking was easy. The cleaning service was nice and worked around our schedule. Our room was located right outside if the pool around the corner from the pool bar. They had karaoke And live bands! Granted I booked on special so our stay was a great value. This has been our favorite hotel so far. There was so much available at the hotel that we didn't need to spend excess money for entertainment elsewhere. Loved everything about the resort. It is beauitful. Everything you need right in one location. Pools, music, a store in motel bowling alley, starbuck coffee the outdoor music and grill. And the beach right there. The kid entertainment they had a bowling alley, arcade ,10 pools counting Hottubs we had everything we needed and didn't have to leave to get food loved the Starbucks all in all best vacation we've ever had !!. I had an amazing experience. My son and I were looking at colleges and we decided to stay at Coral. I never expected such a beautiful room and view. I give this hotel 6 stars . I loved, loved, loved it. this was my third time to Coral Beach Resort and I plan to come back for a fourth in the fall.I always do a girls trip in the summer and bring my family back in the fall and it's always a Great experience!. Convenience of location in Myrtle Beach. Bowling Alley/game room as well as multiple pools. Convenience store on the property with competitive pricing which is not typical for a hote. View was spectacular!. We loved just about everything that this hotel had to offer. We especially appreciated the last minute room change due to my mother's extreme fear of heights and the entrances to the rooms being "outside". Hello, I like the resort because it was close to the beach. Also the staff were nice and friendly and helped us accomadate with room availability.. The view was excellent. The pools were nice as well. Location is great...... Staff very friendly and helpful Great pools.......like the beach bar for entertainment during the day Responded very quickly to a burned out light fixture in the bathroom...... The suite was large enough to accommodate 4 of us comfortably. The pools/spas were nice and the water temperatures were just right. It was nice to have a kitchenette area. The staff were really nice. Nothing fancy just a clean, comfortable room with good service. The hotel is right on the ocean with a nice pool area. There is an poolside bar and even a bowling alley. Great place for families. The location was great; right on the beach, walking distance to some restaurants, a couple blocks from the grocery and easy access to main roads. Staff was friendly and our hotel was clean. It was a fabulous trip. The rooms were very nice and very quite. You didn't hear your neighbors or for the most part, the outdoors. The view was spectacular. We will definetly come again. The bar staff was extremely friendly and traveler friendly. The location was perfect. Right on the beach, in the middle of the hotel strip. They had a lifeguard on duty all day every day. We arrived late. Went to the bowling area where some food should be served. Even though we were there 15 mins after the food being served by we still were able to order. Very nice staff. The heated pools and many things to do made this a place that was very relaxed, even for a couple among lots of young family. We would stay there again if we get back to Myrtle Beach. Everything we needed was right there.... Laundry, coffee shop, equipped room, restaurant, games room for the kids. Beautiful view from our room. Wifi. Cashless...charge to room. The beds were kinda uncomfortable and small.. But the murphy bed was great. Nothing really stands out as a negative for me. I really have no complaints. Two things that could have gone better: more blankets in the room. For safety and health reason, we always, always remove the comforters from our beds. Second, the commode was not "attached properly." But it worked well! Just awkward when it moves. If you go to check in at 3 or 3:30 the line will be long! But the hotel does let you park early and gives you an access pass to the pools, bowling ally, and other amenities so it makes up for it. Probably wise to not check in until a bit later. Shower doesn't drain well but I haven't stayed in a hotel in MB that had a shower that did drain! So don't let that deter. Not enough handicap parking. I didn't like the fact that there was loud music until 11 or so in the evening. Being on the second floor, this was a bit of a pain, however it was tolerable. Had our children been younger, it would have not been acceptable. The hotel was a little dated but well kept and I appreciated the fact that the staff really did a good job keeping up with the facility. The beds were dated, matresses could use upgrading along with new linens and decorating. The outdoor hot tub was not available and could of been of use as the weather was cooler. Also the fitness area was under repair when we arrived but available by end of stay and was worth the upgrade. The finished product was very nice. The store ould use some higher end giftware and souvenier products. The only recommendation I would make for improvements is that housekeeping do a more thorough job. Although the hotel itself was clean our room wasn't 'cleaned' until after 2pm and by clean I mean just replenishing supplies such as towels and coffee packets. I can't think of a thing!. The rooms weren't cleaned well. They smelled musty and old. There were dead roaches in the original room. I did not see any in the 2nd room. The cupboards weren't clean and there wasn't a dishwasher. The tube was clogged and had standing water from minute it was turned on, but we call the front desk and it was taken care of. Some of the outdoor pools were not heated enough to go into. Room with kitchenette did NOT have pot holders for the oven and no sharp knives. Knowing that we'd just have to bring our own next time. Wish workout room had better hours as it was busy. Workout room was a little small but nice variety of equipment. Internet was so weak on the 12th floor - where our room was- that much of the time we could not get on at all and when we could get on it was so slow as to be almost useless. There were 5 of us trying to use our computers without success. The front desk said there was nothing they could do about it. Since this was a working vacation it really was a difficult situation. The room was for up to 6 adults but there were only 4 dining room chairs. You need to advertise that you have bowling alleys, and all of these activities but they cost more. The 2 hottubs one had hot water but the jets didn't work, the one the jets did work on had cool water. Although we had two beds to sleep in, we still pulled down the wall bed to lie on enjoy the sunrise and sunshine through the door during the morning. I realize that this bed isn't always used by every customer, but some attention could be given to cleaning behind it. We weren't smart when taking a last minute trip during "Spring Break", so it was a bit crowded, but never too noisy or anything. Need higher toilet, there were ;like for kids. Also a better resturant then the 1 in bowling alley there. four elevators..all very slow. always a long wait for elevators double beds instead of queens no jacuzzi tubs conciegeres clerk not helpful. The weather was a little chilly and the rooms entrances are outside. so it was a little cold waiting for the elevators, however it was still worth it. No complaints. Thanks again for making our visit enjoyable. Our room was suppose to have a view of the ocean. But due to the many beautiful palm trees in front of our room, the only way we could see the ocean was by standing on the chairs on the balcony. Their were minor things broke, like the shower handle would fall off when touching it, the towel rack by the sink would do the same. My silverware in the kitchen and pots and pans had to be washed befor using them cause they were dirty. Also you can't pay cash at the bars or any other part of the hotel, you have to charge your room, that is a little annoying. I think sheets should be changed everyday without a request. You are at the beach with sand. Kinda goes without being said. The staff were very friendly and took great care of me after I requested clean linens. Music from bar a little to loud for our balcony. Bar and bowling alley closing at 11:00 on Saturday night. Oceanview is just barely an ocean view. You could only see the beach from the far end of the balcony and it was only a clearing between two hotels. The fact that I had to leave and go home. But I will be back soon I hope. Beds are too hard. We wished there were better signs to point you to where the amenities/garage were. I did not like that their were no varieties of restaurants available close by walking distance or in the Resort.. I also did not like that it was not that clean, floors felt sticky and also counters, night tables were not clean had some sort of black particles, also their was no water for an hour or so. Additional charges with respect to the stay......for example.......resort fee.......admin fee......charged 2 times for admin fee.....once for deposit and once for final bill......would like to know this up front...... Immediately after check-in we were bombarded with taking a tour to purchase a room at another facility and in exchange we would be given discounts for area attractions. The bowling was pricey. The suite description said three full beds - one of these was a Murphy Bed you pull out from the wall. Other room descriptions specifically said a pull- out bed - so this was disappointing. And the mattresses were so thin, all the beds were uncomfortable. Nothing. We didn't have any bad experiences with the resort. We had a great stay, but I didn't care for the town of Myrtle Beach. We visited several restaurants and were never impressed with the food and there wasn't anything to do beyond putput and shopping at the junk stores. Unless you want a touristy, cheesy vacation, I would recommend going to another beach town or just staying around the hotel. The drink we had at the bar was disgusting. We ordered the Coral Colada and it was like drinking crushed ice with green food coloring. There was no coconut , pineapple and definetly no rum in the drink. It was $20 wasted. We did let the host at the desk know when we checked out. Needless to say, that was the only drink we purchased there. Nothing to complain about at all!!. There was a lot of maintenance going on, but it was March and has to be done sometime. Larger towels, or towels in the pool areas would be nice. The outdoor pool wasn't heated. Too cold to swim in. Used the indoor pool but would rather have been swimming outside and enjoying the sun.
