We loved staying at the Sea Air Inn. The couple that managed the motel were extremely accommodating and kind. They made sure our stay was pleasant and that we had everything we needed. We would definitely stay here again in the future because of how much we enjoyed staying here. Hotel was just two blocks from the ocean, beautiful views, and you could hear the waves crashing and the sea lions barking out your hotel window. The location was an excellent deal for the price. Decent hotel very close to everything. I would definitely stay there again.
all reviews » I will always stay here. Although the maintenance appears to be a struggle for them, I have never been disappointed. Most rooms have an excellent view of the rock, and harbor is a very short walk away. The price is usually very good for the value. The location is the best part of the inn. The accommodations are good not great but I don't think anyone is vacationing to the ocean in order to stay in the hotel. This hotel is definitely a value and this is the second time I have stayed there. The Sea Air was what I expected it is older. The rooms were adequate clean but no frills. The location was exellent and great price. It was a good price for that location. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. My stay was enjoyable. The location was excellent. Just far enough away from the busy boardwalk area to be quiet at night but close enough to walk easily. We took our kayaks and paddled the bay so we are mature but very active and athletic older individuals. The motel is family owned only steps away from a lovely harbor with lots to see and do. The owner Jay was really friendly and helpful. It was clean and well-aired and attracted lovely guests.I very much enjoyed it. We really liked this place. It is in a great location, and the price was awesome. We expected a dive, but were very surprised with how clean and quiet it was. It did have breakfast, albeit a small selection. Microwave in the office, near coast (walking distance), sweet home decor with real glasses , soapbox and cups. Great Italian restaurant "Distasio's" on the next street (strongly recommend!). We were told by the guy at the front desk that most of the restaurants close at 8 or 8:30. The coffee was poor and the muffins were stale. Bad bathroom equipment (tap, shower mixer), it seems like walls are thick - a lot of noise from neighbors. Wooden door in the room looks like was like a knocked-out. Wish we could have stayed longer than our 2 days!. Nothing to speak of. The only thing is that there wasn't a working coffe machine. Found a hair in the bed that didn't belong to us. We were on the ground floor and the floor boards from the room above squeeked when the people walked around. nothing. No Ironing board or blow dryer in the room, but iron and blow dryer is avail upon request. There was no air conditioner. To small breakfast. Nada. Nothing. The smell of the food in the office that the manager's cook in the next room off of the office, terrible!!!. the water, it gets too hot when someone is using it from other room. my son was showering and suddenly water from shower turns hot and can not adjust to cold, very dangerous esp for kids. this problem needs to be fixed. -Breakfast area was too smal. Not to handicap friendly. Towels were small and rough. The room was listed as 2 queen beds, but they were actually full-sized. The faucet in the bathroom was so hard to open, when it did open, water came out so fast it splahed on my pants. Bathroom window opened from bottom, so all is visible from neighboring parking lot. Should open from top for privacy. No dead bolt on door. Bathroom light has an annoying auto switch which actually waste twice as much power. The free breakfast should be advertised as "continental" not breakfast. The walls were a bit thin. It is a motel - not a hotel - didn't try the breakfast so I don't know but the breakfast room seemed dodgy.
