Room was large, staff very helpful. We had just spent one night in Atascadero, ca at the Motel 6, Fireside Inn charged $7 more and we stayed there 3 days.

Very convenient to waterfront, restaurants. Room updates included new marble shower and sink, flat screen TV.
Got little sleep first night because person in room above me paced the floor or did calisthenics all night long. No breakfast food whatsoever on weekdays. Room was unheated.
Manager was super helpful. Room was pretty basic but comfortable. Shower was great!

I accidentally left my iPad under a pile of papers on the table when I checked out. Didn't remember it until I got to Pismo Beach and thought for sure it was gone. Called manager and he went and looked in the room and found the iPad for me and kept it safe until I was able to return to pick it up. Motel is a short walk from both downtown Morro Bay and the Embarcadero. Loved going for walks in either direction. Really interesting antique store across the street.
Location across from a car wash made it impossible to open windows during the day. Walls were a little on the thin side.

We were thrilled with the location of the Fireside Inn just a few blocks from the Embarcadero and thrift shops. Our room boasted a view of Morro Rock and the bay.
Our room included a fireplace which was delightful, but with only one thin blanket on the bed I slept a bit chilly. I should have just asked for another blanket and this problem would have been fixed.
The room was spacious and clean. The fireplaces were cheesy but a nice touch anyway.
It was a bit pricey.

The towels felt like sand paper. Te tolet seat was loose, the hand sink faucet was also loose. No breakfast. No coffee in the room
We had a corner room and balcony with bay view for so cheap. The room was nice and bed comfortable too

It was very close to the Enbarcadero. No problems walking back & forth. Clean rooms, friendly staff & quiet (We were there on a weekday). Definitely worth the price we paid!

Room is basic but very clean. I especially liked to have the frig and microwave in the room. Location is perfect, close to everything and quiet. I would complain about breakfast if I paid $100+ a night but I didn'T.
I wished there was more rack to hang towels, washclothes in the bathroom. Maybe my room is in the process of being upgraded?!!

Poor reviews. People are not being fair when they compare the price to what they actually receive, a basic, clean place to sleep. I checked the price for a room tonight, 32 bucks! Really people? C'mon man! 32 dollars for a room tonight! I challenge anyone to find more bang for your buck in Morro Bay... .
The hotel is close to the water front and restaurants.
The place is showing it's age. The wife was grumpy, but the husband was pleasant. Continental breakfast was orange juice (more like Tang), packaged sweet rolls, blueberry muffins cut in 4 pieces, and no coffee. I guess if they don't have the rooms filled, they don't feel like making coffee.
Close to the waterfront and main sights, tourist attractions. Good value for the money. Parking and wifi was free of charge as promised.
Not sound-proof. Could hear our neighbours from above. Breakfast was a cup of coffee and a quarter of a muffin.

The staff was very unfriendly. To have someone not to welcome or even speak to you is very odd and uncomfortable. The gentleman at the counter didn't speak a word except for to tell us the room number. Never heard him say a word upon leaving either. No thanks-not ever again at that place...

Shower leaked into room below us. Shampoo was really cheap in little bags.
Somewhat remodeled rooms. Needs to be repainted by a professional. Rolls and pastries in office in morning were nice.
Male staff was not to friendly. At least a hello with a somewhat smile would have been nice. Female staff more friendly. Could hear occupants next door through connecting room doors.
The room was neat and clean. They location makes it ideal for walking to Embarcadero St.
There was no hbo as advertised and no instructions on how to use the tricky heater.
We saw that there were some renovations taking place. This was the first time that we had stayed there and had read mixed reviews so we weren't sure what to expect. For the money,we were pleasantly surprised.
There was a continental breakfast provided. In my opinion, I would prefer better linens or more coffee I. My room in the am vs. Danishes. I didn't really think it added to the value. Also more in room directions to the wifi. We couldn't log on when we checked in and didn't know the password until we spoke to someone at the desk in the am

Close to the Embarcadero, quiet
Room was fairly clean, but only 1 hand towel the first night, asked for and got 2 the next day, but also asked for an iron and ironing board that never came. Just an all-around odd feel about the place.
The location was great. We liked being able to walk to the embarcadero easily. Loved to be able to walk home from meals. The room had a new small refrigerator...nice! Bathroom was clean with a nice big shower.
Innkeeper did not speak English very well. Made it difficult to communicate about even small things. First room offered did not have a place to hang clothing. The room that we ended up with was small and had a view of the neighboring motels on either side. The bed was bad. So hard that we both had trouble sleeping. Innkeeper could not provide us with an itemized receipt.Very average room (bordering on poor) with a great location.
