Miami (FL) Hotels

My husband and I just returned from a terrific two days at the EPIC. The hotel is gorgeous, the staff couldn't have been nicer (not just efficient but genuinely friendly) and the food in Area 31 (we had breakfast there and dinner) was amazing. The place seems very well run. We are already plotting our next trip to Miami so we can stay at the EPIC. - Helen

My wife and I initially booked our room online for one night only, not sure if we'd want to stay a second time. After one night, we knew we'd found a home in Miami, and Karin, the front desk manager, and the two young men assisting her went beyond the call of duty to help us book our second night's stay at the same rate we'd gotten online for our first night. The rooms, with two giant flat-screen TVs, were spacious, spotless, nicely laid out and contained all the basic amenities anyone would req - Anthony

My boyfriend and I stayed here at the end of a long trip for an overnight layover. We walked up to the front desk and were given a lower than posted on the internet rate and superior service from check in to check out. We had dinner on the 7th floor with top notch service from an A+ server and were served a wonderful meal. Our room was clean, well-appointed and exactly what we needed, having arrived exhausted and in desperate need of a good nights' sleep. The bed was heavenly. If you are stuck i - Rikki

Everything about this hotel was top notch for a HGI! Smells new...great linens...decent buffet...will stay here again. The bed is like a memory foam, so be prepared if that's not your thing as it can feel quite different. The only downside is that the hotel is near the foot of the MIA runway and you see large jets fly what appears to be within 500 ft of the hotel's roof (which you can hear in your room quite nicely). I can only imagine if the pilot was a bit off course! Otherwise, great hotel! : - Rachael

I too saw a number of marginal comments however I stayed at the hotel in the begining of October. I was on the 8th floor. The view was inrcedible. Folks, I travel often and certainly know the difference between hiding quality service and providing quality service. If you are not the type of person who is trying to find something wrong, you will love this place. It is in downtown so you have to cab or drive to Miami beach but you know that upon reservation. I suggest the cab. It cost me 6.00 one - Martyn

upon arriving at the hotel i was pleasantly surprise to see how grand the hotel was. check in was fast and the help with the luggage was also good. once i entered the room i was so displeased i wanted to walk right out. the painting the rug the bed the tv everything seemed so old and i felt like i was in motel 6 for 50 bucks a night. we went out for a bit, and of course no iron they told us the next day you must request one ....ok . must we request the safe too? i was afraid to leave my passpo - Catherine

It is a little old, with some wear and tear, but it's good value for money. The people are nice and some of the rooms have microwave ovens. It has a big pool. The hotel is very close to the airport. There is a bar and restraunt in the hotel and a McDonalds next door. - Michael
