- Excellent location. Next to the beach, shopping, nightlife. - Very clean. Our room was cleaned everyday. - Good Price. - Helpfull employees (one of our cards didn't open the door, it was changed very fast; I was thirst at 3am, and they got me water - there wasn't room service) - New furniture. - Bathroom was very good. Except the water from shower could be more strong, with more volume. - Elevator. - I recommend this hotel to everyone! Very close to Ocean Dr and Collins Av, but without noise.
all reviews » The hotel's motto was "yes is the answer", what's your question ? The staff is friendly and professional especially those that work the front desk like Carol, Liam, Axel and William. There is always a bowl of "help yourself" fruit in the lobby along with USA Today Newspapers. Whether you choose continental breakfast or the upgrade breakfast, both hit the spot. The outdoor pool is nice but the hotel is downtown and a row of hedges separates the pool from the sidewalk. Great location , very comfortable beds , friendly staff , clean only negative thing is not elevators and little details in the room that have to be fixed , other than that excellent hotel . Very good location, not far from shops and restaurants (lincoln road, espanola way) and two blocks from the beach. The room was quiet, pool not too crowded,and breakfast nice. the hotel was beautiful art deco the staff was very avcomodating room was clean & cool great style pool was nice location excellent. The hotel was clean and the room was ok. the location. Location was very convenient. Areas were clean and tidy. Other guests were friendly. Had a few problems but staff did try to accommodate. The price of the room could afford all the items that were justified for paying this. But not a problem. And most of the hotels charge this. - No parking. But next to the hotel there were 2 parkings. The hotel is across the street from the police station, so that activity could keep the light sleeper up most of the night. Getting a few extra bath towels always seemed to be a challenge because the front desk personnel had no access to housekeeping, so they would issue towels meant for the pool. It was impossible to open the window in the room. A/C a bit noisy. no ice machine in the building we stayed in Free breakfast was not good. Room and beds were small, shower fixture was loose and didn't work quite correctly, air conditioning was very noisy but management looked into it promptly upon being notified. Hard to find fault with the hotel but the restaurant could open outside of breakfast time. Plenty of other places to eat in the area. Renovation to pool, air con could have been closer to beds, basin was hanging off ( I don't mind but you will probably have guests who would complain). cleaning solution smell in the lobby. extra money (which is returned if everything was fine)is taken as a guarantee. bathroom too small. Elevator out of order. The gym. All in all it was too expensive, but after all, it is in Miami Beach!. -the phone didnt work properly -the window view was a brick wall -no refridgerator -walls in room were dirty -ice machine didnt work properly -resort fee was unecessary -rooms were small. Building is old and in need of reno. Had problem with leaking light in shower. Were moved to another room. Bathroom door would not close,sink stopper would not work. Were in the Taft Bldg. When booking, thought we would be in maim bldg. Very tired hotel needs decorating our room blinds broken,windows paint falling off,floor carpets would be better,. Everything! I didn't like the staff, not very professional. Just to ask a question, I had to wait 10 min at the front desk cause there was only ONE person available. Rooms were old. i didnt like how when u get to the hotel they tell u then that they are taking $200.00 more from u till you leave.....not cool..... oh yeah also how people not worth 18% tip getting cause they take it out on your check.thats crazy. I booked the hotel because I saw pictures in internet and because my sister, who went a year ago recommened it to me. However, when I arrived I noticed that the hotel was remodelling and I stay in a little dependency at the back of the hotel, not pleasent at all, felt insecure and the price I payed was too much for what I received. It was under construction, which was great to see that change is happening, but notice of this would have been nice. The view from our window was of construction material and such. The change in policies since they changed owners & didn't notify people that had previous reservations. I've arrived at the hotel and they told me that they are fully booked! I had a confirmed reservation from letsbookhotel.com but it sems the computer made a mistacke? So i had to search for another hotel that night ! not vey helfpfull.
