the staff, the room was lovely, the bikes!

the pool is TINY! and not worth bothering with. I like to swim lengths and 3 strokes gets you across.. what a shame!

small enough pool area with not a great aspect from the point of view of sunbathing. expected rooms to be a bit bigger too for the price

Service and staff were excellent.

There is currently a huge construction project next door, so that generates quite a bit of daytime noise. Also the hotel is on a very busy street, so while the view of the ocean is excellent, the ocean is two blocks away and the immediate environment seems very LA-urban.

I liked the design of the hotel & the pool area. The rooms were comfortable.

The work on the floor at the bar area & the reception during all the 3 days that we stayed, work was still going on when we left. Coffee & tea complimentary only until 10am.

Decor was lovely and service was great. Restaurants were very nice. Room service was good

Wifi dropped out often No shuttle service to major locations Temperature was colder than other places in LA and hotel lobby was drafty. An advertised event that I was looking forward to was cancelled without any advice and the reason given was unclear.

The decor was stunning and aided relaxation. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Location was near great restaurants, the beach and shops.

The wifi in the room for ipad was eally slow and didnt work for your iphone at all so you had to connect via the lobby every day

The location was outstanding: right across from the beach. The pool had a wonderful set up with cabannas and two smaller pools which made it more intimate. The décor was modern and fun. The staff was very accommodating and knew us by name. I even got a text on my cell phone asking if we needed any help. There wasn't a wait for valet to bring the car up.

There were not enough lounge chairs at the pool for all the guests on Saturday. Service at the pool was very slow - though in the end the server didn't charge us for the food we ordered. More servers were needed. There were additional charges that added up to about $100 more per night over the room rate: valet parking was the only option at $38 per night, $15 amenity fee, and various taxes so the room was significantly more than we thought when booking

Location,non-ostentatious decor. Food and service world class.Staff cooperation and friendliness unmatched.Spotlessly clean everywhere. Attention to detail and personalised non intrusive care made one feel special. Great quality in a most pleasant setting. We are Australian and are used to top Asian hotels, but we could almost return to la just to stay in the Viceroy!! Well done. Our grateful thanks to Mr. Platt who deserves the plaudits for running such a marvellous hotel. B.Wilshire-- eat your heart out!!

The staff was very friendly and when we would get through to guest services(they never answer) we would get immediate service. It's very trendy but is slowly becoming dated.

The junior suite was SMALL. I thought they gave us the wrong room. If you need ice you have to call guest services every time. I wouldn't stay here again unless the room price was half.

The Seaview is poor because there are building in front of it. The BEDS are not comfortable at all, We have to wake up with a backache everyday. Over priced for small rooms and unconfortable bedding. Not the best place to spend summer holiday, the sea was so cold. You visit it during the indians summer (mid Oct till mid Nov)
