We liked that it was only a 5 min walk to Universal Studios. The Concierge services were quite helpful and organized a tour for us with Lala Land tours which dropped us off at the airport straight after our tour, which was very convenient. Their 24hr room service was also great, since we only checked in at midnight. had everything we needed, rooms were spacious and clean. Bathrooms good. Breakfast was excellent, choice of Asian or Western style breakfast. Bar staff very professional.
all reviews » Everything was great. We were only there for one night but really liked the facility, the courtesy bus to Universal Studios, the pool and spa, service, etc. This hotel was wonderful. There were 11 of us and we all loved it. The staff were very professional and wonderfully kind. Love this hotel!!. Great location for Universal Studio's as well as Hollywood and Hollywood Bowl. Close to freeway and tons around to see and do. Just beside Universal Studio and it's easy to drive to Hollywood which is very near by car too. Ample Parking space. Very nice hotel and very friendly and helpful staff. Its location is perfect for families. The food were fantastic. 1) Location - proximity to downtown LA/Hollywood and stone-throw from Universal Studios; 2) Friendly/Polite Staff. Great location, very handy to Universal Studios. In a hotel like this, it is not satisfying ton not have free wifi. 1) Slowest elevator - too painful 2) Steep parking charge - should be free for hotel guests (like Vegas) 3) Soiled room carpet 4) Smaller pool. Toilet paper located in a silly position. Lifts were not all working, waiting time for a lift was long at times. The cost for internet. cost for parking. Very pricey. Paying for parking and Internet. Room service prices high. No mini bar. I have nothing bad to say. For a hilton location, I would have expected spa services. we could not pay for breakfast. Annoying to pay for WiFi per device, when we do have 2 iPhones and 2 iPads for 3 days :-( I think it is not a good service. Small pool. NO,everything is good. the hotel is a little old and it is unreasonable to charge WIFI expense. Do you really have to charge for wi-fi? Really?? Also, the bottled water in the room was WAY too expensive. And, while there seemed to be a mini bar, it was actually and empty fridge with a mini-bar menu attached. Restaurant s were expensive. Slow elevators. Bathroom fittings.. were not working as expected. Hand shower, basin faucets, basin drainage was not fine. Did not expect this after paying so much money. Walking to Universal was a little difficult. Parking fee. Their was a reception and some type of convention going on in the lobby. Too crowded. Was very disappointed in the food. Too expensive and was not very good. 1. Parking charges! We were charged for Parking overnight. Visiting Universal Studios (also charged parking). 2. Shuttle to Universal leaves late - @ 10 AM, Park opens at 9:00 AM. why loss of 1 hour of paid park usage time ?. There nothing I didn't like I love it all. No free wifi. Slow elevators. No negatives. Availability of lower priced meals, no attendants at pool re: towels, drinks, food. Elevator service was terrible. Five elevators and it appeared that only one worked at any particular time. No indication of any out of service conditions. Wait was terrible. The food was close to the lobby and had a very strong smell. the buffet looked great and delicious but expensive especially for families with kids felt bad thay they all wanted to eat there but couldnt due to we had spent quite a few hundred at universals:/. Long walk round to Universal, not just a walk across the road as described. Expensive parking and wi fi. parking rate is too expensive.
