Location was great for visiting the locks in Lockport. Building and rooms were super clean and well kept. Room, bed, and bath very comfortable! Breakfast was perfect for us and offered many choices.

The heat in our room ran full blast or I had to turn the heat off. The controls for the heat did not work. It was either on or off.
Bath room fan didn't work, toilet was not bolted securely to the floor, seat was loose and general maintenance was not very good.
Room smelled of smoke even though it was nonsmoking room. Heating vents filthy.
The food was horrible
The shower barely worked
there was no carafe in the coffee maker in the room.
Attitude of hotel clerk upon arrival. No elevator? Seems all non-smoking rooms were on second floor and it was hard for us to haul our luggage up the stairs. The room had an odor and the building as a whole stank. The room had not been vacuumed. Dead insects, cobwebs, dust in common area windows. Very overpriced!!!.
I booked a non smoking King. When i got there i was given a stinky smoking room and told it was non smoking. It wasnt it didnt have a sign to state non smoking like other rooms. We had to move to a room with 2 x Doubles, not what i booked.
