  This is a beautifully designed bldg. opened in 1926. I went into signif disrepair, and the restoration project has come along very nicely. It has become restored enough that they are accepting guests, and the guests rooms are beautifully appointed. Wonderful Hotel to support, and help restore an historic-worthy building.   If you're staying in downtown L.A. this is the perfect place. It's ten-fifteen minutes away from studio tours, Sunset Blvd, and a little further to the observatory.   I had a very good stay at the Ramada hotel. The staff was very friendly and helpful and the hotel is in close vicinity to a lot restaurants and shops. I traveled as a solo female and I felt safe in the hotel and surrounding areas. I traveled through the city by using the transit which is very cheap at only $1.50 for most buses. Although if you are... what people say » going somewhere alone in the night time, I would recommend taking a taxi because some areas I did not feel very comfortable walking through by myself - Yuvi was an amazing front desk assistant. She went above and beyond to help us after a horrible experience at a neighboring hotel. She made everything better and helped us immediately. Best breakfast buffet I have had in a long while
