  It was one of the niciest hostels I have ever stayed at and it was right in the heart of things in Santa Monica including the beach! - be in contact with a lot of nice people from all round the world..The enviroment was so nice.. the breackfast was very good. If you want u cant store your food in the hostel's fridges and cook it when ever you wan... what people say » t in the big kitchen!!

  This place is fine really. Seemed newly refurbished and the staff were friendly. Really well located for downtown SM and the beach where most accommodation is very pricey. - second time staying here, great for a budget night or two. Just 10 minutes brisk walk from Main Street, Santa Monica.

  great value- accomodating staff- clean room- just what i needed! am a city girl, so ok with it not being perfectly quiet... but no outrageously loud either. was there on a thurs night. would choose them again, definitely. - Reasonably priced,clean, tidy, friendly, 15 minute walk to Santa monica,25 minute walk to Venus beach ($10 cab ride).   Everything was great. Don't let the exterior fool you. Very welcoming, from the staff to the environment. Beach is literally steps away. It is lively all around. Most people would complain about the noise, but you have to take into account that that's just the Venice/Santa Monica environment. Fun and the sun is at your doorstep. And don't be shy t... what people say » o write any recommendations because the staff will do their best to accommodate your requests. We asked for a beach/ocean view and were upgraded upon - The staff at this hotel were sensational! We got to check-in early, had our bags carried up 3 flights of stairs (because the elevator was on the fritz) and got to check-out late so we could sleep off our jet-lag. Plus they have one of the best lobby spaces I've ever seen and there's rooftop access to watch the sunset over Venice. - Brilliant, friendly & helpfull staff. It's right on the famous boardwalk next to plenty of restaurants & a small convenience store. It's secure, with a good safety deposit box in the room & I felt safe despite the colour characters going in & out at night. My room was also impeccably clean, as was the whole hotel.

  Loved everything.Excellent restruants close by as well as public transportation,Easy access to the beach,wonderful Patio on 4th floor made it convenient to relax and being a smoker it was a great place to relax and smoke :) Staff was very Helpful and courtious - We had business to conduct in the Santa Monica area.
