Pacific Heights Inn is a true gem. We have stayed at this hotel 3 times - in 1999, 2004 and now in 2013 and each time the place was just right!It's not a "fancy place" but it's not a dive at all. Quaint and comfortable.

It looks a bit run down on the outside, but inside the rooms have been renovated and are very nice indeed: meticulously clean, very comfortable. There was a fridge and a microwave in ours, very handy. Spotless bathroom. Free (ample) parking in SF is invaluable. Location is very good too, just a very short walk off the lively Union street, convenient for buses... Overall, definitely recommended, we'll stay there again if we're ever in the area.

Was very quiet, slept wonderfully. Decor quaint & beautiful. Bed comfy, water pressure great. Bkft included was good & filling. Cannot say enough great things about this adorable hotel.
