  This hotel, though on the southern tip of Manhattan, was conveniently located near several subway stations providing access to many different lines. Transportation to/from the airport was easy and there were cabs and livery cars available when we were ready to leave. Staff were welcoming and quite helpful. It was a steal in comparison to other - The staff was very friendly, especially the bell hops and front desk clerk. We had a tv issue and they were in our room in 2 minutes after the call to fix it. Despite what you read on some reviews, the elevator wasn't that slow. Plus, it is New York, learn to wait sometimes. We had a good view of lower Manhattan and the river.   Nice medium sized hotel in a good location. This hotel has about 50 rooms on 7 floors, a small breakfast area on the ground floor and fitness room with sauna and steam room in the basement.
