  The room was a good size for NYC. Hotel was a block from Grand Central Terminal, super for subway and subway shuttle to Times Square! The restautant on site was nice, good food, out door seating. Because it was on 44th, and blocked by the terminal, the street was REALLY quiet. Toiletries and hair dryer and iron all good, no need to pack yours! -... what people say » I liked the fact that the room and bathroom were very clean and well kept. For New York City the size and price of the hotel room were also exceptional, especially when looking at some of the other hotels in the area. All of the staff, including the restaurant, were helpful and friendly and eager to serve. Everything is in walking distance.

  Hotel 414 was great! We visited in July 2013 for 8 days. We found all the staff to be super friendly and helpful. They gave us several maps, made recommendations for nearby restaurants and Broadway shows and helped us book our train to DC. The breakfast was great! Cereals, croissants, bagels, yoghurt, muffins, tea, coffee, juice etc etc. Everythin... what people say » g you need! I loved that we had a fridge in our room too because I could buy my own lactose free milk and keep it in there to bring down for breakfast - 1.Great location in Midtown, it's right near everything; broadway shows,public transport, numerous restaurants, etc. 2. It's quiet; we had a room on the 3rd floor facing the courtyard and there was little noise from outside, or, from other rooms 3. It's reasonably priced. We stayed for 11 days and the total accommodation bill was great for a central Manhattan hotel 4. It feels more like a B & B than a big hotel which I much preferred 5. A good continental breakfast was included in the room

  Personnel very friendly and helpfull. Great location, only a few minutes to the nearest subway station from where in Manhattan in minutes only. Never felt unsafe in area, even late at night. Parking available at a fee, free public parking from 6pm-8am and weekends. Large clean rooms, twice the size of Manhattan hotels for less money.   The rooms were decent in size for a hotel in NYC. Very cleans and comfortable too. The staff was amazing and very friendly our a/c was not working properly so they moved us to another room and upgraded us as well . Full breakfast was very good too . Very caring staff ensuring as guests of their hotel we were looked after and we were . - great... what people say » staff, very friendly and pro-active, they are always willing to help. Very good breakfeast and good location as well, 15 min walk to Times Square region. Price was excellent. Definitely one of the best cost-benefits in New York and one hotel I would come back to.

  I had a problem with the reservation in the holiday inn express manhattan, they contacted me and fixed all for me being very gentle. I arrived and always was perfect. The location is half block from 5th ave., Two blocks from brodway center and all is near. Very security zone all hours and all near. The breackfast is really good even when the dinne... what people say » r room is too small and sometimes we were a lot of there. The personal is very gentle and always help for directions and conections, great experience - The staffs are polite, cheerful, helpful and friendly. They are just fantastic The location is excellent. Ideally placed, within walking distance to the happening places yet is also quiet which made it easy to sleep. Though the room is not very spacious but is comfortable. Well a hotel that I recommend for business or vacation. I would happily go back again.
