We could walk to Fisherman's wharf as well as to the businesss district, and also the cosy street with Italian & other restaurants & bars was in walking distance.   Out of context the rate seems a little bit expensive... But we compared with so many other hotels in the area, and I really think this was the best hotel for this price range! The location was amazing - north beach on one side and chinatown on the other; walking distance to fisherman's wharf... We used the parking garage and it was very safe & private, and I actually didn't mind paying for it because I woul - I did like they offered breakfast which other hotels in the area didn'T. Breakfast was simple: cereals, breads, juices, boiled eggs. The price was good compared to others in the area. I liked the location, I wouldn't normally stay in "china town" but I enjoyed the experience. One street over is North Beach, which isn't a "beach". More appropriate name should be "little italy"; very good italian restaurants. I would stay here again if the prices stayed the way they were.

  The location was exceptional. You are one block from the Mark Hopkins, Fairmount and Huntington Hotel. The building is a condo that about 20 rooms have been turned into Hotel Suites so you don not have the front desk clerk or amenities of many 4 star hotels but you have a beautiful studio apartment that has stainless steel appliances, flat screen ... what people say » tv, fully equpted kitchen and wifi with your own router in the room so the speed is very good. I did not miss the door man. However, you do need to co - Great location, very friendly staff, comfortable bed, Wifi high speed. I would highly recommend this place for people that need a mid to long- term place to stay.
