We love to stay in old, historic hotels. We do not expect the rooms to be luxurios. This hotel is in the middle of busy Lahaina Front Street. It is close to great food and shopping. It is OLD, a litle musty, a little rustic, but to us, beautiful. It's like time-travel. We would stay there again.
This impressive 1933 structure in the heart of Lahaina is a must stay
for the nostalgic in all of use. The wood finish in the interior from
the lobby to the second floor of rooms is a lost art. Our stay in the
Maerke room (presidential) was thourhly enjoyed.
The location was excellent and the room, albeit very simple, was
clean and quiet. This is an excellent place to spend a night or two,
as the price is right and it is close to everything of consequence in
Lahaina town.
Great location just off Front St. Rooms are a bit small but are very unique. If you are looking to stay right in Lahaina for a few days this is a great option.
Charm of an old hotel that is well maintained, location in the heart of Lahaina, service from front desk during day, room upgrade and ease of parking.
Received an upgrade to the suite, was absolutely gorgeous! The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, couldn't fault them.
It was located in a very good area. Could walk to several great sites and the food allong the way was wonderful.
Our second time at Lahaina Inn. Privacy and location at Lahaina are perfect.
+ superb location
+ nice cosy hotel
+ relatively cheap regarding area.
Great location. Clean. Everything that is needed for a good price!.
I liked the charm and history of the Lahaina Inn. It had character.
Close to town center with quiet site & quiet customers.
quaint. bare minimum, but just what you needed...
location right by the wharf and bus stop.
Loved the ambience of the hotel and the old fashioned style of the place and that I can sit on my balcony and see the marina and watch the boats going out.
I like the location I like that will country style I like the gentleman
that was at the front desk very helpful!.
Quick find for a weary traveler.
Good location.
The location. We could walk to the bulk head and look at the water. It
was also close to Front street. The 3 employees we came into contact
with were very polite. Although they never explained anything to us.
Location, location, location. My wife needed a small refrigerator for medication, which was provided at no additional cost.
close to town
Jamie-the hotel receptionist was professional, helpful, intelligent and kind.
room was clean.
Right in Old Lahaina
Budget friendly.
Convenience.
The location.
We knew what to expect, so we there were no surprises. We knew it would be noisy in the early morning with delivery trucks, we knew the building was old and a little musty. It is NOT a luxury hotel, it is a historic hotel.
Checking in after 7:00 P.M. one has to wait for a hotel employee to come
from another location to get into one's room. My wife and I had to
wait about 20 minutes. This is not a big deal but a detail folks need to
understand, especially since most people are just arriving off a long
flight from the mainland.
Noisy neighbours after 10:00 and nobody on site to deal with them without a guest complaining to someone at another resort. Bed small for two people. Both small problems, good hotel.
The noise of the bins being emptied at the cafe next door was very loud, not too pleasant at 6am. Still wish we'd stayed for longer though!.
When I got there the hard drive to the front desk computer had crashed so it took a very long time to get set up. No fault of the guy working the desk of course, but in todays environment having RAID drives for a business and a quick fallback plan is a must.
All is good.
- morning noise from garbage truck
- paid wife.
Wifi and parking should be for free for hotel guests.
A few things in the room were broken - bath plug / light switch.
Off-site parking.
never saw a human being staff member except the security guard who gave us our keys.
The noise early in the morning from the street cleaners and the delivery trucks all starting at 0430 every morning.
There wasn't much I didn't like I just thought the room could be
a little cleaner.
Noise in the early morning. I paid extra for the balcony view. Hotel and
business drop offs in the street made it impossible to sleep. Felt like
I should have been given discount to stay in the front of the hotel.
There is no staff at night.
noisily
dirty rooms.
The bed was to small and to close to the wall. To few hangers, no
refrigerator, no coffee maker. The whole room was to small. Especially
did not appreciate the $150.00 hold on the Debit card with no indication
of when the hold would be released!! Had to ask for clean towels and to
get our bed linens changed! Just not very happy with the whole
experience.
Our room was small and dirty. We were there in 2003 and it was a good stay. So we booked again in 2013. We were SHOCKED at the decline. Run down, in great need of repair, dirty (probably because it was in such poor condition the room could not really ever be clean), a shower that barely worked, etc. We will never stay there again.
the double bed had a lousy mattress which sagged in the middle! All the beds should be upgraded to new queens. There was no closet. There was no insulation in the walls, so it was noisy. People should know the garbage trucks come at 6am! No privacy on the lanai. Put up some barriers.
Noise
Amenities
Terrible bed
Run down
Lack of staff.
In the early morning, say 5:30am, the dumpster truck made a lot of noise right below my room. To top that off, next door at 6:00am, they started jack hammering some cement slab. What's up with that? I give the noise level way high, so high, it went off the chart!.
The room was tiny but this could be ok if the bed wasnt so uncomfortable (has never Been changed i guess) and small that we havent slept for the 3 night we spent There.
