I love the hospitality room they allowed us to use after we had to check early and could not catch a plane until night so after Whale watching we could take a bath before traveling. Also the kindness of the staff. Third floor ocean view. Quiet. Beautifully landscaped. Residential feel. Mini-kitchen great. Location fabulous! Close to beach and restaurants. You can have fun without a car!.
all reviews » Pool was nice, staff were friendly. We needed to check in a day earlier than our reservation and it simply was not a problem.....we appreciated that. The location was great and the room was a great size with 2 full bathrooms! The grounds were very pretty and the parking was very handy. clean,easy to use,homey and had everything we needed.Enjoyed our stay.Would stay here agian for sure. Nice, helpful staff. The amenity fee of $15.00 a day was interesting although I do know that most hotels are now charging this. We were told it was for the daily coffee and the safe in the room..............seemed a little high to us as the coffee pot was a two cup pot and we got a coffee packet to make exactly two cups. The beach towels we had to check out at the front desk had also seen better days. No complaints!. Extra costs. Internet gave me trouble, as well as the TV. Small ants in the kitchen, although the staff took care of this once advised. Balcony overlooked a dry, bare field. Pool area should have been open later than 10pm. Felt a bit insecure as many owner-occupiers had padlocks on their front door!. parking a little slim. Liked everything. The unit smelled like fish. We were given a ground floor 2 bedroom unit, which was very dark. The remodeling was nice, but the carpet, even though once beautiful, was worn and spotted. The furniture was very worn with peeling paint, the walls were marked and dirty, both in the unit and in the hallway. There was a deep gouge in the wall where the dining chairs had rubbed. The mattress was also old and had bed bug covers on the box springs. The hotel room was small, airconditioner could not work properly due to placement of furniture. Furniture and room needed to be updated. Paint, flooring the works needed to update this standard hotel room. I was able to switch to a deluxe room after a couple of days after I said that i was ready to leave. I still had to pay a fee to upgrade. This room was slightly larger, clean and modern with more features. It was HOT in the master bedroom. The AC was in the living room area, there was no fan in the master bedroom. We opened the lanai door but really not enough breeze and nosiey from a machine like sound. Didn't sleep well because uncomfortably warm so had to sleep on recliner chair at times!. The units look old, my bathroom floor was dirty. Not even flat screen tv. Old old old. Did not like that it cost me 7 dollars to go down to the lobby and print out itineraries. That should be an amenity offered at no cost. No ac unit in the bedroom I occupied. Carpet was dirty. Made my feet black after shower. Had to wear shoes walking in unit. I will never book at Maui Banyan again. coffee pot dirty,no key in the safe, room odor of dampness and/or mold,bed linens odor of mold and very worn. My room had bed bugs!!!!!!!!!!!! Gross!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.
