This is a family owned and run hotel and they live onsite. I have stayed here for years and this is a quiet and always very clean room to stay in. I know the name changed but still the same family owned hotel and same great, clean, comfy room to stay at. The Glenwood bus route is just steps away from the front of the hotel in case you want to just ride the bus to downtown to have dinner or to the hot springs. The rooms have thick walls and always quiet to sleep in.
all reviews » Our room was very spacious and comfortable. I was surprised when we walked in the door how great of a room it was. New carpet and quilt, thick towels and clean enough for my wife to approve. We would definitely stay here again. If it was closer to home we would go stay a few nights around the holidays to get away from the family . Nice clean spacious rooms, comfortable beds, convenient refrigerator, user friendly table and chairs outside the door. There are local buses that stop every 1/2 hour right next to the Inn, very convenient for us as we needed to have some car service done during our two night stay. Our room was spacious, clean, newly furnished and comfortable. Mike, the owner, was friendly and helpful especially since I had mistakenly booked for the wrong night. He was considerate and understanding. The location is ideal and we enjoyed our stay there very much. This hotel was superb! Basic comfort, squeaky clean and remodeled. We booked three nights to ski local areas. Due to a death in the family we left after two nights. The staff was very understanding and accommodating. We were credit the third night. Looks like an older motel, but the place was clean and in reasonably good repair. I thought it was an outstanding value for the price. Just a wonderful experience. Glenwood Springs must have been so much quieter in the days before I70 was built because the constant roar of trucks and cars is pretty dominant all throughout downtown, the Hot Springs area, and where this motel is located. Only two minor issues: There was a coffeemaker but no coffee packets when we arrived, and housekeeping didn't restock any the next morning. Had to ask for it at the desk (Mike gave me plenty when I asked). Also, there was a refrigerator but no microwave in the room? Not a big deal for us this trip, but if you're planning on cooking you may want to ask about it. Ice machine was fritzy the first night, but the font desk filled my bucket with a bag of ice so no issues. When we checked in there was a leftover restaurant food container in the fridge. Not a big deal, just odd. Mattresses were a little soft. is right along the highway, so a lot of traffic noise when sitting outside but not a lot inside. also, a slight chemical smell to the rooms, but very clean!. Nothing. Having to leave so soon. None. Nothing. Nothing. Nothing. They allow smoking outside the rooms. It is a lovely soft rain and the beautiful smell was so delightful for 5 minutes. Then the couple next door comes out and lights up and begins smoking. There should be no smoking by the building. We had to then close our windows to our room. The fridge was off and I did not check it and our food went bad. They should not turn off the fridge. Strong disinfectant smell. The hotel is not in walking distance to town, so had to get a taxi or bus as we didn't have a vehicle with us. Breakfast room way too small and not enough tables. All Very Nice. Nothing!. Highway location,. Name on sign is not Hanging Lake; it's america's Best Value Inn. breakfast was coffee and a Danish. However Village Inn is a stoplight to the east. The shower was not hot enough for me. Breakfast was minimal and Coffee weak. N/A. Too close to the freeway.
