Ted checked us in and he was very efficient and helpful. He went out of his way to make ourselves and our children happy. We were also traveling with our elderly parents and he was very accommodating , helping us get a wheelchair and changing their room, so we could be closer together. Thanks Ted for a great weekend! When we go back to visit Gettysburg, we will stay with you all because of Ted.
all reviews » Although here was a little confusion checking in, the staff was very helpful and welcoming.Aspire rooms were very spacious and spotlessly clean. Beds were really comfortable.Appreciated the mini-frig and microwave and also Mark's personal touch by calling me by name the day of and the day after check in.Thanks for the personal touch. We changed rooms. The 2nd room was large, clean, convenient to the elevator and ice machine. The staff was very friendly with the exception of the first guy at the desk who didn't seem to care that our reservation was lost. staff helpful, security gurad took me to the litchen at 0615 for coffee you should do something about internet cmts which are critical of the condition of the rooms which is good, like asking people to cmt otherwise. The room was huge, the beds were comfortable, it had great parking abd easy access. The staff was very helpful and the whole place was very clean. It was a tremendous value for the money. We especially liked that the hotel welcomed our dogs and gave us convenient rooms to go in and out. The staff was very nice and helpful. We had a very pleasant stay. It was as good as any hotel for twice the cost and a short drive to Gettysburg. Very quiet for a good night sleep. Good hotel staff. Plus they had smoking rooms. The lobby was really pretty. Although we didn't swim this time, we are anxious to bring our daughter back because the pool looks fun!. Very comfortable bed and bedding. Our original room was not fully stocked (no coffee or shampoo), the window was cracked and the room was noisy (next to an outside door and on the 1st floor facing the parking lot. sicne youa re isolated, you should provide coffee NLT 6 am and a dailt paper (especially sunday) as it is 7 miles round trip to mcdonald's. there hsoudl be a back access to the rooms form the parking lot with your room key. It was confusing as it was an Aspire hotel at the Eisenhower Conference center not the Eisenhower Inn. We did not know that and called the wrong place to confirm our arrival. No complimentry morning coffee and no close handicap parking. The refrigerator ran the whol time making noises. Everything was satisfactory. The decor is a little tired. It wasn't the easiest place to find - not right off the highway and no signs that I could see from the direction I was coming (from the PA Turnpike). The rooms need to be upgraded a bit, especially need painting and window replacement. The windows in the room were actually suffering from dry-rot. There is a charge for breakfast. Need to have free continental breakfast. Hair dryers need updating!! Barely enough power to dry my bangs much less the rest of my hair. Also, there was hair in the bathtub...pubic. Yuck. The pool area- although very nice- could use a little TLC. Liked everything. Hair in the bathtub. And not just 1 piece of hair either. was totally satisfied no complaints or dislikes. hotel needs updating, as an example, the shade on the lamp next to bed has been burned and the burned plastic was all over the light bulb and burned parts on the shade...why wasn't this replaced immediately. Some general redecorating should be in order. The hotel restaurant is terrible. It was the worst dining experience I have ever had. They brought the wrong food and the wait staff was poorly trained. In addition, it was a little further from the Village of Gettysburg than we wanted. restaurant could of had a better selection. Clean but smelled like cleaning fluid. Needed repairs in walls and where furniture hit the wood work. No closet in the rooms Blanket torn, with holes (Room 225). Front desk staff, not very knowledgable. Restaurant and lounge not open due to low bookings. Computers archaic. Could not find eleavator. Could be up dated. Restaurant not open would be nice if they offered free coffee at 6AM. A little out dated. Shower would go from hot to very hot. Outlets in room very loose. Breakfast not included. I chose to book this because I was on a Harley and wanted: A. Restaurant and B. Pool. The restaurant was closed and the pool was enclosed and roof was closed. It was at least 100 degrees. I was sweating while sitting in the pool. I would hope to get some kind of 'comp' if I was ever to stay again. It had a musty smell and leaking water in our hallway. Poor dinning. Food was poor and expensive. A load of clothes, whites, had yellow spots all over it. There was no manager available to address the issue. Not a 5 star- maybe 2 Over priced and no breakfast included. Needs painted and cosmetic uplift No heated pool There were 4 of us and only 3 towels etc. Rates were very high, but then it was during 150th anniversary. Refrigerator not cold, Soda machine empty. Sheets and blanket had holes in them. Pillows should have been thrown out a year ago. Bathroom vent and heat lamp did not work. Room door had slide lock broken off and the charley bar was broken. Couch and couch pillows were full of stains. Shabby not Chic!!. tv lacked remote control- we would have had to change rooms to rectify. should have had more coffee.we. Faucet in the bathroom sink was loose. Shower faucet was hard to adjust. Light over the sink next to the bathroom went off on its own. Painting of bathroom had not been completed. room & courtyard in poor upkeep. No breakfast included. Our room was old and it smelled bad, moldy or something. Tfhe restaurant was horrible. The lettuce for our salad was brown, The mashed poatao was instant, and the crab stuffing was awful. We were put as far away from the pool as you could get. They changed the room upon our arrival. On the whole things were ok. The hotel is in serious need of an upgrade. It dosen't look like its been painted since Eisenhower was president. The couch in the room was dingy & dirty. The air conditioner cycled on and off every 5 minutes. Things are in a generalized state of repair. There was no breakfast or coffee available till later in the morning. Most of the hotels, in the area offer some sort of breakfast. 1) Facility very dated. 2) Outside of the front desk, the staff was ?! ...room not made up 2 of the 3 days... the one day that it was made up it appeared as though some one literally ran through. 3) When asked where the closes ice machine, one of the dinning room staff did not know and suggested that i go buy some someplace; they were polite but very stupid. 4) I would never recommend this hotel to anyone.
