The staff was very pleasant and helpful. Our room was spacious and comfortable and appeared to be recently updated. We also enjoyed going over to Palm Beach, the water park located on the property. The food in the restaurant located on the 1st floor was delicious!. Staff was on top of everything. We asked to change room and no issue they moved us. Our waiter was fun and immediately corrected our bill. Very nice hotel. At the bar I had a question on the menu and the manager came to answer my question and gave me a sample.
all reviews » awesome staff, poolside was very kid friendly. checking in was so friendly and fast. I felt very secure at all times. the staff/security at pool was great. we will definiately return. The rooms were quiet heard almost no noise in halls or surrounding rooms. The staff was wonderful, and the hotel itself is absolutely beautiful. They were busy when we stayed, but service was prompt and, again, the staff was very friendly. The room was very clean and the bed was amazing. Very comfortable. View of the area and the under ground parking. The staff was very courteous and helpful. The many things to do and see, example: Rainforest,Aquarium, Schlitterbahn and a golf course that was as pristine as any I've ever played!. The room was very nice and the large. The bed was also very comfortable and the room smelled clean and fresh. I also thought that the use of the Krupp's coffee maker was excellent. Warm, friendly staff - couldn't have been more professional and helpful. Large room, beautifully decorated. Everything was top of the line. Valet and shuttle services were superb. I liked everything about the hotel. The staff was very accommodating. I requested an early check in as well as a late check out and they were able to comply with both. It was nice to have shuttle service to our cruise ship and back. Also, parking our car while we were away was wonderful. The hotel is very large; built for summer visitors and conference delegates. As such it is very well equipped and beautifully presented. I liked the location and amenities they offered. The beds were excellent, and everything was very convenient to the hotel. The service was exellent and the accomodations were well above average. The whole experience exceeded my expectations. The room we were in had undergone a full remodel so it was incredible. The nature attractions were fine and a highlight of the trip. Room and ambiance was fine. Drinks were pricey. Everything it was close to all the action, I loved my view it was great, and the bed was wonderful. Updated room which was nicely decorated with a beachy feel. Overall very family friendly. Their beds and linens are so very comfortable! And they let us have a late checkout. Staff was friendly, very convenient location, lots of activities. We will be back!. I was traveling with a 12 and 9 year old and they were disappointed that the hotel did not have the Disney channel available in the room. That is was storming and we could not swim. breakfast room service was not on time, and had to return for missing items. The only drawback was the fact that the hotel was busy and there were a few noisy kids in the hall at times. But that didn't last long, and we knew we were going on a weekend when it would likely be very busy. No bathrobes were supplied as advertised, also the remote for the tv was messed up. All minor !. The location of the facility is a little confusing and road construction had a detour that was poorly marked. Galveston needs to improve signs & roads to location. Not one complaint. Most unusual. I would love if it was on the beach but will still stay there again because of my great experience. It was a little expensive. Unfortunately I arrived during a very quiet period. As a result, there was no-one on the reception desk when I arrived, and I was the only guest in the less formal of the two restaurants. This felt very odd. The waterpark was closed during spring break, and the shower head in our room just wasn't that great, but could have been just our room. Not much to complain about. Food from both the restaurant and room service was priced 5-Star and was lesser quality than what you would receive at a Denny'S. We spent over $200 on room service for two meals and they were both practically uneaten because of the quality and taste. Some of the foods were a little pricey. Finding out that I could have done my own reservations and be able to use my retired military status for a substantial reduction of cost. Your company did very well on this transaction. It was a little high I want to bring my grand children but it's a little to high to bring a family and room and board them all and feed too. Common areas of hotel could use some updating, dinning options were fair. Had trouble connecting to the internet. The cost was a little high. The cost of the food in the restaurant was also high. both stand up lamps were either loose at the base or broken. The bath tub didn't drain..so I pulled the stopper out so we could get the water out of the tube. After that..all was well. Thought we where going to be closer to the beach, room was hot and upon entering our room the light in the bathroom ceiling was hanging out of the ceiling, most of the staff was very friendly but occasionally we encountered some one having a bad day. My fiance and myself tried to go around about 3 pm to walk the grounds and found most attractions were closed, not being able to buy a cold drink from one of the boths. The young attendant at the ticket booth was not happy being there all by herself and it kinda rubbed us wrong with her being short with her answers to our questions. Maybe some more supervison would be better. Price was high for a room of 2 people. Reastaraunt was high priced as well. We ate out. I thought there would be more inside the hotel for toddlers and young children. There are no microwaves in room. The only one available is verrryyy small and on the lower level nailed to a table in the laundry room. Nothing I didn't like!. the prices in the fancy restaurant were too expensive. the plumbing! the toilet didn't flush very well. The overall value for what I paid really didn't match up. The temperature in our room was a little cool Saturday morning but other wise was good. Room rates hiked for special events. Some of the exhibits were a bit pricey for the value. the price for food. didnt have the room I wanted. dirty bathroom. Took three maintenance people to get the door unlocked. Reservations to Thanksgiving were not honored!. The staff was kinda rude. I didn't get room i booked and still had to pay the same price for the room I did book. Room was not cleaned well. Food on buffet was not hot. Waiter seemed disinterested. Had to repeat everything 2 or 3 times. Dance competition groups should have been all together so those who weren't there for that could have had a more peaceful night. For the price room should have had bigger tub or nicer shower. horrible restaurant the terrace, you should serve better than precooked meals from Sams. price and dirty towels, refrigerater still has food. Wait for the shuttle was way to long we could have walked there and back for how long it took, room was nothing like it said it was not big enough for a family of 5 for what we spent, then we had to pay for tv, then there were no complementary robes like the web site said and yes nice pool but the water was really dirty. I would not stay here again!. Poor restaurant No free powersupplies in room for loading tablets. The view was horrible, the bed and pillows were horrible, and the cost was outragous.
