Not specific to this hotel but I suggest eveyone checks final roomprices after taxes, gratuity etc (different system compared to Europe).

"The Secret Garden" is truly an exclusive and private restaurant, as it is only open to hotel guests and selected friends of The Pillars; providing one of Fort Lauderdale's best fine dining experiences. The private chef treats you to an exquisite gourmet adventure. To maintain The Pillars' peaceful and serene ambiance we have strictly limited seating. Dinner is served under the stars at tables overlooking the Intracoastal Waterway. However, as it is known, it can rain, even in South Florida. In that event, dinner is served indoors in the library/dining room. To avoid disappointment, it is best to book your dining experience when you make your room reservation.

Please, note that this restaurant is open 6 nights a week in the winter (closed on Mondays) and 5 nights a week in the summer (closed on Sundays and Mondays).

The Pillars has its very own private Water Bus whistle stop where guests of the hotel can jump aboard and visit many of the area’s top activities and attractions including shopping and dining. As an alternative, guests can be picked up at our dock in a private launch and enjoy their very own tour. For the more adventurous, why not try moonlight kayaking through the many Las Ola's isles?

Only a short drive away, the Everglades offer an opportunity to witness exotic flora, fauna and wildlife from alligators to Florida panthers. Closer by, lucky hotel guests sitting on the dock might catch a glimpse of an iguana, a manatee or even a dolphin.
