We spent one night in Rodeway Inn on our way to the Grand Canyon. Very much liked the pool in the evening. The three of us had a great time relaxing in the jacuzzi; there was nobody else in the pool areas. Breakfast was ok with freshly made waffels. Shopping center and restaurants are very nearby. Staff was excellent; helped us with all of our questions and needs. This hotel and a lot of others near it are away from the railroad tracks. This is very important in this town. The hotel is next to a walking area for dogs. Very nice. The morning breakfast was included and nice for the room charge.
all reviews » The lady at the front desk was very professional and yet made us feel like family. Her name is Courtney! She is the kind of person that I would like working for me. Give her a raise!. Only stayed there one night, but the check-in staff (didn't get her name) was very friendly and helpful. Left before the breakfast opened - but it looked like it would be good.Very nice hotel. Very hard to find fault. Enjoyed the stay. Not noisy. Close to shops. Bed comfy. Definately would stay again if in this area. Very friendly and helpful staff. And no where obvious on the website did they state they had a limit of two dogs. We had three. They were nice and accomodated us, but had us worried when we walked in and were hit w/ that limit. Missed having glasses by the sink.Nothing really, but no one gets a perfect score. So to really be picky, an up to date TV guide ( what is on the channels) would have been really nice. I had to search to find the hockey. That's the most negative thing I could find!. We were on the 2nd floor and there was no elavator. Typical American breakfeast. I have nothing bad to say about this hotel. We enjoyed our stay. no elevator : difficult with the luggages as our room are on 1st floor (happily the representative kindly helped us) room a bit small but comfortable breakfast room a bit small. I couldn't stay longer. A little run down. Bathroom fan was in need of lubrication, rear door to hotel was locked at night. Unfortunately the hotel was being renovated so the hot tub was closed. Cracked outside window in room. Nope. We did not have the technology to use WIFI & there was no computer available with internet access for us to use to research the next part of our trip and book our next motel. However the manager did offer to book our next motel for us. Bedspread had a hole in it You need to be able to tell guest that are traveling at night how they might be able to find the motel. Unfortunately the hotel was being renovated so the hot tub was closed. Did not have Fox-News but did have all the liberial stations. Why???. Poor breakfast quality No fridge, coffeemaker or microwave. Although there is an indoor swimming pool, the area is far from inviting to use it. When we arrived at 12 noon we were told we could not check in until 3pm. The cleaning staff will not clean a room if you don't vacate by 11am. There was no password protection on the wi-fi. I prefer tub showers to have at least the option of a bath. The rooms did not resemble the pictures on the website. The bedding on the website were more upscale than what was on the bed in my room. The carpets on the stairway and the hallway was filthy. The pool and jacuzzi were out of order, due to renovation. The renovation should have been posted on the website. Rodeway Inn is a choicehotels chain and should be decorated as such. they mess up our reservation, breakfast was very very poor. the hotel was not as clean as I wish it would have been. Facilities are getting old. Window was broken. Waffle iron in breakfast needs to be replaced with commercial grade - not that expensive! Need new beds. Pool and fitness room were both out of service. Very inconvenient for me because I would have used both of them. Not bad room but no smelled a little and no elevator. Indoor pool is not appealing. Pool was out of use when we were there. It was one of the main reasons I picked the hotel. Otherwise ok. I asked at the desk if wifi was free and they said yes, but they put through a $10.00 charge for it after we left. The beds were awful..very uncomfortable. All three of us were unable to sleep. We would not stay at this Hotel again. No Elevator to get to the second floor. The whirlpool didn't have jets, just pipes that blew air. No towels in pool area. Only two in the room for 3 people. Had to ask for more. Hotel really needed some updating. Room and corridors were in poor condition and appearance. The remote didn't work, the young Native American girl tjat worked at night wasn't professional or knowledgable of the rooms nor the business. The breakfast area was a mess not clean but was stocked accordingly. The sheets were stained. The carpets were dirty. Rodeway has been rode hard and put up wet. In our first room, the window wouldn't open. In our second room, there were holes in the carpet and loose tiles in the bathroom area. The box springs and wallpaper were visibly dirty. The linens were dingy and stained (though clean, I keep telling myself.) If we hadn't been so tired, we'd have walked back out and found somewhere else to stay. Rude female staff. Dirty carpet hallway and stairs much need of cleaning. Old worn sheets on bed. Pool and spa area not that clean. Pool towels smaller that standard bath towel. Poor breakfast. Yogart in bowl with just small amount of ice at bottom, most of them warm. The room price came to around $73 with tax. This should have been a $39 motel. Just felt dirty staying there. Will not choose that motel again. Un Friendly Staff- No one Greeted us at any time. The Room had broken beds, old matresses, not enough towels, no amenities like listed. The entire Hotel needs a paint job and new carpet. No Elevator. Spa was cool and didn't bubble correctly. The Breakfast was Terrible and not worth having at all. Will never recommend to anyone else. Broken light switch. Window cracked and taped over. It was the most run down and in need of repair motel I have ever been in.
