The room was very comfortable with a recliner and sofa. The room had a small balcony with a table and chair. The restaurant was excellent. The food was great and the wait staff attentive and intuitive. Close to all the antique shops. We were in town for the extravaganza. We will be back for the September extravaganza. In the heart of the Adamstown antique area. Excellent quality dinner restaurant. Easily accessed from I-76.
all reviews » Everything was just as described. Very clean and friendly. A good bargin!. It as quiet!!!. We come to Adamstown at least once a year for the Extravaganza. Stay at the Black Horse because of the queen size beds and convenient location. The front desk girls were really nice. Close to food and gas. Nice area. Friendly staff. Liked the location. mattress a bit too hard and the pillows were flat. Although the room was clean, it could use some updating. Strong odor from the air conditioner, musty. No vent in the bathroom. Lack of electrical outlets and wi-fi connection was so slow was unable to connect many times. Nothing. Considering it was a low cost motel the quality of the room was first-class. all was well. Reserved a room with 2 queen size beds, got 2 full size instead. Mattress and pillows were horrible but the rest of the room and service was good. Not our first stay here, won't be our last. Really needs some updating. Air conditioner was really loud. Room had a bad musty smell that I finally got use to after a few hours. They also stuck me way in the back of the facility. There were three looks on each of the doors into the room. Just raised a red flag for me being a retired police officer. Would have left if I was with my family. A lone female would have been concerned. Shower did not work properly. Quilts and carpet are old and could use replacing. Sheets did not fit bed well. Room was rather small. Hotel rather old, needs updating. Airconditioner did poor job removing moisture from the room air. Room felt damp and had a slight musty smell. Thought room was overpriced. 1st room given was damp and very musty smelling, rm #140. The heat had been turned off so, couldn't even try to dry it out. Staff at checkin was very friendly and gave us a different room which smelled better, rm 101, but, there was mold on shower curtain and bathroom floor. Staff at checkout was unconcerned, no attempt at an apology and didn't even note it. Breakfast was very minimal, thawed out frozen bagels, toast, cereal. Definitely would not stay here again!.
