A nice clean comfortable hotel with delightful staff, nice breakfast ( complilmentary) we were there for a gymnastics competition which was very early in the morning and while normal hours for weekend breakfast began at 7am, breakfast was open and ready at 5am to accomadate those who needed to leave early..I will stay here each time we travel for competitions in cortland and will look for other country inn and suites where ever we travel.
all reviews » It was so close to where our son is going to college (SUNY Cortland) We could get him moved in and a short trip, we were relaxing.! Try to reserve a room for "parents weekend" was sad to hear all booked up. Will try to call to see if there were any cancellations. LOVED the woman in the breakfast room!!! What a doll! Made it a great morning for all of us!!. Breakfast! The open, friendly attitude of all the staff and their willingness to please. Knowing the pool, spa and exercise areas are there if I want to take advantage of them. Cookies at the front desk! Clean and comfortable! The 'awwww' feeling when we saw the towels/washcloths in the bathroom. Free internet, 2 TVs, 2 DVD players!. Loved the room floor plan; beds were super comfortable; everything was very clean and well designed. The front desk staff was very busy but was always very courteous and accommodating--all around great stay, one of the best I've had at a hotel. I liked everything except I paid 129.00 and 159.00 for my room. I came to cortland for the state senior games and didn't know there was a 109.00 rate for this venue? I booke on line early to insure a room for the games. Our king room was large, comfortable and quiet. The location was fine for our vacation in the Finger Lakes. They also had tasty cookies at the front desk in the evening. The included breakfast was more than adequate. My experience checking in with the front desk staff was excellent. They answered all my questions for best directions/time to leave for Cornell University's' graduation ceremony. My room was clean and comfortable. I was travelling with an elderly friend who was very comfortable here. She felt safe and commented on it's cleanliness and nice breakfast. She said "I would stay here again, I really enjoyed it.". I was a very nice holet, a bit smaller then i was exspexting. Breakfast was good. rooms were very nice. Staff was very helpful and gave us a discount card for a very good pub restarant. We particularly 'loved' your breakfast girl 'Margie' who was above and beyond the call of duty and nice and friendly besides helpful...she should get a raise!. The room was very clean and comfortable and the location was convenient to SUNY Cortland (the reason for our visit). Everything above plus the free breakfast. Staff was very helpful with suggestions of restaurants in the area. Staff was supper polite and very helpful. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely reconnect to others. That I paid more that the other peopleI travled with. When I booked I didn't know there was a groop rate for the senior games at this hotel. I gave the inn a fair rating for value because I paid over $300.00 for one night due to the graduation rate...like most properties in the surrounding Ithaca area. Otherwise, i would have chosen "budget friendly" which best describes the property. At least they did not require a three night minimum. The walls are thin too. A shame since the property looks fairly new!. Checkout was a nightmare, no one at the counter and I never got a bill im waiting for my credit card to tell me what it cost me. Nothing, everything was fine. There was nowhere to sit for breakfast. Nothing. Shower...I heard of Water Savers, and I'm all for it! That was the most efficient Shower Head Water Saver Ever!. We didn't get the room cleaned, just towels swapped and bed was not made very well. Everything is always great. Breakfast room to small. Breakfast food not great. No towels in the pool area. The hot tub was warm not hot. Had to correct the room rate at checkout. Rate charged was more than rate quoted on letsbookhotel.com. It was done very easily and quickly by the desk. The sofa bed was not comfortable. Wished there was more choice of hot foods like bacon and sausage. Nothing. Hot tub wasn't working...:( But staff had ordered part and it was getting fixed. They apologized and offered discount. One closet door was impossible to open. Struggled with internet access. It was perfect for our needs. mattress on bed not up to standard...too springy. Breakfast crowded with aggressive people..not your fault. Clorine was very high in the morning in the pool area. Pool a bit heavy on the chlorine the fake eggs are disgusting. Heat in hotel is way too high in room and hallways !!. Nothing. nothing. Expensive for what it is, jacked up rates b/c of homecoming weekends. AC was poor and price was inflated for special weekend. The front desk staff were not friendly Room had some defaults such as worried about shower curtain rod ready to fall off.. Pool was small Expensive for basic room.. Not Impressive for money.
