I didn't expect such luxury for the money. The location was perfect
in that it was in the middle of everything we wanted to see. I'm
still trying to get over the tv that was embedded in the bathroom
mirror. I've never had three TVs in a unit before. Even though we
were only on the second floor, it was so quiet and relaxing there. The
nightly treat... what people say » s (candies) were a thoughtful touch. The electric curtains
and blinds were nice and it was something we hadn't seen since our
stay at the Birj Al Arab -
From the lobby we came in to a very modern and friendly atmosphere. The staff are very friendly and always available. Excellent recommendations for tours and very informative. They also booked dinner reservations for us. We really enjoyed the King suite. The space was very comfortable. The shower and double sink was truly appreciated. The sky terrace was great. We enjoyed the outdoor lounge atmosphere. The hotel location was perfect. It is centrally located. It is close to Navy Pier and Michig

The location to downtown Chicago, for a fraction of the cost of other
hotels, is what interested me the most about the Chinatown Hotel. Tons
of restaurants in the area, and the front desk clerk even recommended a
couple favorites. The subway entrance in Chinatown was not accessible at
the time of our stay, but even a cab ride to the downtown area ... what people say » was very
reasonable (especially with the large group I was travelling with,
riding the subway would've cost about the same). There is a parking
This is the most budget-conscious lodging you can get in Chicago without
going the hostel-with-shared-bathroom route. The price is comparable to
a chain motel in the suburbs, but you get the excitement of staying in
one of the most interesting neighborhoods in the City. The staff was great--
our reservation was lost (which happens often when I book through 3d
party websites--I should have learned my lesson) so we had to stay in a
different room each night, but one of those nights was upgraded t

The staff was extremely kind when our taxi didn't show up to take us
to Union Station. So we missed the train. A staff member stood in the
rain with us while we tried to get another cab. We couldn't get a
cab, but they let us continue to use our room for the day. This out-
weighs any of the negative comments we wrote. They were awesome! -
I liked... what people say » the helpful front desk staff as well as the room cleaners. Anna and Barbara did an excellent job of cleaning and restocking my room 317 when I stayed there earlier this week. They both deserve raises.
I also liked the guest use of the lobby computer as well as the continental breakfast.

From the first moment we entered the staff was friendly and helpfull. The location is exellent, 8min walk to the L. Clark street which is full of pubs and restaurans just 2min. 2 cinema's are in walking distance. The hostel is great, whether if you're in a dorm or private room. We were in a half/half. Sink and toilet, shower on the floor. The room... what people say » was cosy and sufficient. Breakfast was decent. Bagels, oatmeal, cereal, fruit, creamcheese, P&J. It was always warm and homey. Free dinner on sun -
At check-in the staff was extremely helpful and, when no parking spots were available, they showed where to find free parking and then another ramp to park as well. The events hosted by the hostel were outstanding as well, the pub crawl, evening grill out, and the Hawks parade viewing of course. Overall, this hostel is straightforward and simple, no tricks, in a fun and happening Lincoln Park neighborhood, and I know this is my new go to place to stay when I return to Chicago for future trips.
