The Hyatt Regency certainly was a big part of making our vacation so enjoyable. Chicago people are friendly, obviously proud of their city and eager to make visitors feel welcome.

  The staff was very friendly, helpful and professional. The hotel was beautiful with alot of nice "little touches" like scented candles lit in the lobby area at night. It is centrally located and very easy to get around. Concierge staff was very helpful and knowledgeable. Location of the hotel is amazing especially the view from the top levels is marvellous. The room was spacious and covered us all 5 adults and a kid. In house coffee bar was great they had nesperesso machines and the capsules were provided everyday. Hotel staff were helpful in finding us taxis while we wait in the lobby and it was really quick. Once we arrived they gave our kid a gift

However, what kind of a hotel room does not already have a refrigerator? Our reservation was for a double room away from the elevator with a river view. They only had two rooms left and they were by the elevator. Our comfortable room on the 21st floor, gave us a view of Lake Michigan, the Chicago River, State Street and nearby skyscrapers. We would definitely stay there again.

I have a difficult last name, but all of the staff immediately remembered it and also pronounced it correctly. - The location couldn't have been more convenient! But they put us up across the street the first night for free and upgraded us to a suite the second night.   The staff asked my name when I got out of the taxi and then at every stage as I was passed between concierge to reception to bell hop I was greeted by name. They rang forward to reception and announced that Ms Graham had arrived - a nice rock star touch with the practical benefit that all my paperwork was ready to go at the check in desk.
