We loved the décor, the atmosphere; the staff members were all awesome! They gave quick easy-to-follow directions to all the places we needed to be. The room itself was very cozy & comfortable. My wife and I had a really great time being in Chicago. Luxury at a very reasonable price! I will definitely be planning a longer stay in the near future! Simply a great experience, Thanks Fairmont Chicago Millennium Park!!!.
all reviews » When we arrived, they told us our room had been overbooked. But they put us up across the street the first night for free and upgraded us to a suite the second night. Obviously not everyone can expect this to happen, but it's a testament to the hotel's willingness to take care of it's guests. Would definitely stay there again. Great location, too. Loved the personalized service. Called the concierge for specific directions not listed on the website and she directly emailed me the information, and asked if I had any other requests. I asked for a room with a view, and she said she'd do her best. When I arrived, I was checked into room 3605, with a view of the lake/park. Clean, luxurious rooms. The beds were comfortable. Great location.Within walking distance of all the major attractions. Couldn't believe how quiet the room was for sleeping when the windows were closed.The staff are great! We will be staying here again next time we are in Chicago. My first time staying at a Fairmont and I was extremely impressed. The rooms were huge with a separate shower in the bathroom. Terrific view, great service, great central downtown location. I'll definitely stay there again. Great location and convenience. Very nice rooms - comfortable beds. Quiet air conditioner at the right temperature. Japanese restaurant food was devine. Staff were helpful. Very nice spa centre. Apart from the recently remodeled bathroom, some furnishings and fixtures in the room were a little dated/worn out. Housecleaning was just ok. The first day I didn't have adequate bathroom supplies, then the second day the nespresso supplies weren't refilled. In all fairness, I didn't notify them, but at a 4 star property, I shouldn't have to. Need an in-house coffee shop!. Having to connect to the internet each 24 hours was really irritating - why not grant access for the whole stay? Business centre opening hours were very inconvenient - not open outside business hours?! Selecting normal TV program's was a long process - make it easy - I do not want to buy movies!. - business center was not open at weekend, - business center could not be used at Monday because staff was absent for a longer while, - high print cost at business center, - room cleaning was not perfect (hairs on the ground from other people) - no free wifi. &Quot;Booking.com" stated the facility had a pool, this was not the case as their partner hotel has a pool but thus facility does not. nothing. Paid internet, not free in lobby. There was only one person at the front desk when we were trying to check in and out. Other staff were walking around, but no one was eager to help... THE WIFI IS NOT FREE $15+ a day for Wifi is crazy. Red Roof Inn's have free Wifi... Nothing special about design as it was claimed. When I booked thru letsbookhotel.com room was described as King or double. I requested a king when I booked and then again when I called to confirm my room. When we got there I was told I had a double. To get a King's size room and to check in early, I had to upgrade for $50. This included breakfasts & wifi which was nice. If you were not in the gold rooms, wifi cost $$. Other hotels do not charge for wifi. Very poor service at breakfast in restaurant. There could be better attention given by housekeeping. When I arrived there was a hair on my bathroom floor and the bathroom scale was not operable. Just some things to double check on when going through and changing rooms over for new guests. No electrical converters for uk/ireland plugs. Nothing. pedway access was locked. Hot water too slow. Front Desk staff attempted to charge my credit card 4 times what I negotiated for the room..and then had rhe gaul to be arrogant about it all. No free WiFi in rooms, expensive parking, $3.00 coffee in lobby. room too small. Shower door handle and water faucet were falling off. We had to ask THREE times to have them fixed. Furniture was old and worn. No slippers in suite. Had too many coats of paint. The room needs an update. Very bad shape for a Fairmont!!. the customer service.
