Room was super. Beds were so comfortable that I have never slept better in my life and the bathroom was equally superb with 2 huge washbasins. In most places nowadays you only get a shallow worthless basin but not in the Blackstone. The room was spacious and on the 21st floor we had a magnificent view of Lake Michigan and over to Navy Pier and to Museum Campus. Beds ultra comfortable, rooms were very nice, clean and spacious and staff were excellent ... Plus the tapas restaurant on site was great! Overall Much better than the Hilton Chicago next door. Several colleagues of mine left that hotel and moved to this and were extremely happy. Great value for money for a 4 star!.
all reviews » Staff was very friendly, knowledgeable, and even gave us a free desert coupon at a local restaurant when asked for suggestions on the best places for Chicago Deep Dish Pizza. It also helped that the place they suggested was near-by, and delicious. Had a wonderful view of the Willis Tower as well!. A clever combination of old and new decor and design. Felt very luxurious, capturing the spirit of 1920s Chicago with a modern twist. Stunning lay-out. The room was also very clean, and the bed was incredibly comfortable!! Staff were very helpful, making Check-in and Out easy and hassle free. Loved the mattress in our room. So comfy! We had a smaller room but it included all the amenities. We called it our nest. Also, we appreciated the spectacular city view. The bathroom was roomy with double sinks and a remote controlled TV in the mirror. We appreciated the attention to detail in our room. The Staff was extremely cordial and helpful with our questions and requests. The Hotel is lovely, and we admired the marriage of historic and modern. We shall return!. The Bed was just outstanding, so comfortable & Fresh! I wanted to take the comforter home! Staff was always nice & upbeat The room was great, right amount of space. The closet was even nice!. Nice amenities in the rooms. Great location to Soldier Field. Cool artwork. Great place!!. I would have liked breakfast included in price as the breakfast was pricey. We had to go out every morning to Yolk which was good but the queues were a nightmare there so we would really have preferred to have had it in hotel. Internet service was terrible throughout the 7 nights I was there. I paid 12.95 per night for Internet, some days it was slow and once it simply didn't work so I ended up in the lobby to get better service. Otherwise everything else in the hotel was great. The condiments (milk etc.) for the coffee machine weren't obvious, which made us think they had been forgotten on the first day. We discovered them the second day. ;). The bathroom had a sliding glass door that didn't allow enough privacy for us. My Husband would have appreciated a more varied menu in the Restaurant, but the menu looked interesting. My outlet in the bathroom didn't work so I couldn't blow dry my hair. It was my birthday & I told the check in staff that when they asked me why I was staying & part of me was hoping they would do something special for me. Like it would have been nice to have gotten anything from like a free breakfast or some wine or an upgrade or just something. Bathroom doors just slide but don't fully close for much privacy visually or otherwise. I wished there had been some shops in the hotel. nothing. The lobby looks a little bit old. Interior view was not great as right on top of other buildings but we weren't in the room that much. A bit pricey.
