I liked having a locked entryway had to use keycard to get in. That gave me a feeling of security. It is a older building which was nice.

Need more lighting and heat also better water pressure.

I loved the kitchenette, the view from my room, the central location, and the charming old building.

I didn't like the strong smell of lemon air-freshener.

The Spacious Apartment was adorable & comfortable. We felt like "Chicagoins". The cute little store across the street was very convenient. Would go back tomorrow if I could. The outdated bathroom was just part of the "apartment feel". It was beyond CLEAN. My husband says the tub, although discolored, was marble. We didn't mind one bit. There was a certain amount of street noise which, again, enhanced the Chicago experience. 2 short blocks and you are at Michigan Ave. Excellent Value!!!

Location (but note it is not on a subway line though bus service is great), size of room, full kitchen, value for money.

We were on the top floor (10th floor) and there was a quite loud fan like noise during the day. However, it was quiet at night and we were out all day so we didn't bother to move rooms which appeared to be an option.

Staff were great. Walking distance to almost everything. Bed was very comfy.

The area around was a bit dirty due to heavy snow. But this is not an issue really.

As always, great feeling about this place. Just a short walk from the stores and bus/metro access downtown. Helpful staff.

Our first visit here was in a suite numbered x04. This time we were in x05, which is on the corner of the building. The room is an uncomfortable shape and layout. Bed was in the middle of the room, couch at the end. Layout seems forced. If you value space, especially if you have someone using the pullout couch, ask for rooms x02-x04 so you have more space.

Staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Steam shower was amazing complementary coffee in lounge and wifi throughout the building, (in addition to hot chocolate, fresh baked cookies etc on one day) Perfect location - close to central Chicago, beach, magnificent mile, navy pier, Lincoln zoo (which is free) but also reasonably quiet area. Overall well recommendable.

Coffee wasn't that good (not exactly there fault) Some facilities more up-to-date than others.

Definitely the staff, the location near the shops, and the price. Will definitely come back again next December.

We book a couple of months a head of time when we get our train tickets. We prepaid the room. A few weeks ago you were offering a special whereby the room would have been about $35 cheaper but we had already booked since it was in the busy month of December.

Exellent location, big and clean room, polite staff. Convinient parking exactely by the hotel. And great value!

Staff didn't warn us about reception working hours (they do not work at nights). That is why early morning when we were leaving the hotel we couldn't get a stamp on the parking bill for a special guest discount.

The front desk was great. Check-in and check-out took less than a minute. We called the front desk to call a cab for us, and when somebody took our cab, the man behind the front desk ran out in the -5 degree night and flagged a cab for us! It was really a great experience from every end!

My only complaints are that our trash hadn't been emptied, so there was a full garbage can under the sink, and the floor of the tub was pretty gross looking.

Don't have a single complaint other than the evening I was due to leave I was encouraged to leave the staff to arrange a taxi to the closest railway station, but when this actually happened, no taxi was available, meaning that I went outside and flagged down my own taxi - not a complaint, just an observation. If it can't be arranged, please don't offer and encourage it as a service.

The smell of bleach that greeted me, the lack of room cleaning unless you put a card on the door, the policy of no room cleaning if your stay is for more than 5 days.

The bed was comfy. Everything I needed was right at my fingertips, whether it was kitchen utensils, iron, hair dryer or directions and ideas related to the sites around Chicago. I thought it was wonderful.

The only thing I didnt like was the bath was a bit cramped, but everything was really great!

The location, the staff, and the overall accommodations! I loved being able to walk to all of the shops and restaurants! The staff helped us check in earlier and booked a cab for us for our departure. And I loved the fact that we had a kitchen!

This hotel was a fantastic deal for the money--we were right by the lake, the Hancock Tower and the Magnificent Mile for a bargain compared to nearby hotels. The staff was very friendly and helpful and the room was clean and spacious. We will definitely stay at DeWitt Place when we return to Chicago!

Location is excellent and the size of the appartment. The apartment was also located off the main corridor so even though we needed to open up an extra door, then the reward was a very quiet stay :). This was room 609. One note - be sure when the Taxi driver asks you where to go that you say Dewitt Place apartments :)

Although the room was clean (for the most part), the bathroom needed some maintenance - especially the bath it self.

Great hotel in a wonderful location - just two blocks away from John Hancock Observatory and walking distance to the Magnificent Mile. Staff goes out of your way to help you out - just ask them a question and they will come out of the reception area and outisde the hotel provide you the guidance you need. I had a huge studio to myself with a kitchen that was full of utensils. Free high speed wifi, great staff, great location. It's a 10 on 10 to a hotel for the first time ever!

A little creaky facilities. Hot water temperature in the shower varied widely, the bathroom was cramped, furniture looked a bit old and worn.

The location was an AMAZING find and the cost was SO reasonable. The staff was super friendly and helpful! Although it may be almost 'historical' in age, it was clean, safe and delightful for my sister and me. We walked the 2 blocks to the Magnificent Mile and found the location was absolutely perfect for our needs!!
