We liked very much the hotel: The staff was great and very supportive,the room was nicely designed, the global atmosphere very positive andthe location exceptionnal as it is only a few blocks from the subway. Wedefinitely recommend this hotel for any tourist visiting manhattan.Better to be in this hotel in Brooklyn than in any crappy hotel ofmanhattan (with a small ugly room)!. Nice and trendy location near the Academy of Music. Really comfy bed and carpet, everything is brand new. There was a blackboard and chalks in the bathroom and Henry Miller quotes on the corridor walls. Cool and artsy in a very Brooklynese way, loved it! Another guest review says the neighborhood is rundown, it's not. It's racially mixed and young, but not rundown at all.

Stylishly furnished, well-decorated, the bed was incredibly comfortable, the bathroom was big, spotless and well-equipped, there was free wireless, a nice view of the area from the window, a huge flatscreen TV with a lot of channels...the list goes on. It's an awesome hotel. The staff was incredibly helpful and friendly. The complimentary breakfast was great and the room was unusually large and pleasant. As on-street parking is all but impossible, it would be good if the hotel had a deal with the parking garage next door that would allow travellers to take their cars in and out as many times a day as needed for one flat rate rather than having to pay hourly rates for each time you are parked.lack of sound insulation from hallways to rooms; there were few guests at the hotel while I was there, but att another season, the sound might get bothersome. No restaurant, no bar yet... (maybe by now). King size bed is not for older folk; you have to literally climb over it to get in.The room was not cleaned on Saturday. I would have preferred a tub in the bathroom.
