The new Motel 6 isn't anything like the past negative reviews. It was clean budget friendly great location for the "T ". People have complained about crosswalks to the t that are beyond the motels controls. Accept the hotel for what it, a clean budget motel you want frills and close to downtown Boston don't stay here pay double somewhere else. If you're looking for a place to relax and sleep, stay here. It's a safe location.
all reviews » It is economical compared to other boston hotels. I went to a conferance at boston conferance center. Then I took redline train from south street and in 25 minutes I reached hotel. It was just accross the Braintree train station. Next morning, I took the train again and came back to attend the conferance and from there I took buss to nyc. It was convenient. Nicely updated rooms with comfortable beds. Good value for money, wifi has to be paid for though. Located directly next to subway station, wich takes you in half an hour to downtown Boston. Very good option if you want to avoid downtown prices and parking fees. I like the fact that this particular location has always been very very helpful...although there is man that works the overnights, ........he needs help..... Just saying, other than that?, always a pleasure!. The rooms were clean, the stay was quiet and the Motel was located right near major roads and the T station so it was easy to get around. Great price for what you were getting, we would stay there again. Next door to the T, but never heard it because it's the end of the line. Noon checkout. Spacious rooms with parking right next to them for easy packing/unpacking. really close from the train station, nice big rooms, quiet (Our room was facing a park). Cheap yet really close to Boston (you can be downtown in 30 min). Location near but outside city. Easy access to mbta might have been a positive if I was willing to stay there again. Close to the T station, comfortable stay if you are visiting Boston without a car. Good value for money. I like just is near to the metro station. Very convenient to subway into Boston. -Front desk gal was nice. I didn't like anything. No room service..LOL. 25 minute train from the heart of the city. Guy that works overnights is a little dense to put it lightly.... Our one gripe is that there is no parking for the back of the motel so if you have a room back there, like we did, you have to cross through a locked hallway using your room key. We were traveling with our infant so we had to carry a lot of stuff and it would have been nice to be able to park right near our room door, but this was a small annoyance and wouldn't stop us from staying there again. Dirt in corners of room and bathroom. Thin walls. Tiny table/desk. Limited lighting. Didn't have any hair dyer in the room, no restaurant around. Failed to provide promised wake up call with most unfortunate business consequences. Bed linen could have been cleaner. The immediate price jump from 84 to 100 dollars. (I know... Tax) but this is very misleading. Nonetheless, there really wasn't much I didn't like. no breakfast offered access to parking lot is difficult from highway. Took 45 min at night from downtown Boston to get back to motel - 30 min to Boston during the day For the price, there's nothing bad to say. a little noisy. Towels were small and very rough - I suggest you bring your own. nothing. no coffee at 10 am, mold around the bathtube, no microwave in room. Barest of accommodations. No shampoo/conditioner. No tissues. No hair dryer. Bath towels fairly small. To provide breakfast instead of just only coffee. There're some bugs in the room. - Only 1 person at the frontdesk (a gentleman) was nice and helpful, the rest...... Very unpleasant staff at reception, no smile, its like we bothered them at work,they better change their jobs if they dont want to smile and be nice to ppl! - wifi is not for free and it didn work the first time!. It didn't seem very secure, isolated in its neighborhood. No places nearby to get food from. Lack amenities in the room such as hairdryer, fridge and iron. No Alarm Clock No Kleenix Rubber Blanket Hard Floor makes room echo/loud. No breakfast. too far away from down town and too far away from eating places. as I said, simple. The floors were not clean enough to be satisfactory. I stayed there for 5 days and the internet wasn't working in two days. The shared space area. Too simple. beds not comfortable. Stains and dirty. No shampoo or shower cap...Tub drained slowly during shower...Not worth the money. I didnt like that you had to pay upfront I didnt like that the online price was not honored I didn't like that there was no free Wifi or free breakfast of any kind I didn't like the towels were not clean I didnt like that the cleaning staff didnt come to the room our last nightday I didn't like that there was no crosswalk or path to cross the street to get to the hotel. There's no microwaves and fridges in the room. The area seemed like a very sketchy area. In hindsight, I should have just paid a little extra and stayed at a nicer hotel in a nicer area. The few extra dollars is definitely worth the added sense of security. The room itself also had a funny smell. no friendly,almost rude no shampoo, really out from Braintree city. Customer service weak. -There was a fly and bugs in our room -No toiletries were provided -Bed was very uncomfortable -Shower/Bathtub didn't drain. the cop car sat outside. the room unattached from the motel, no nets on the windows, the bed sheets had burn marks on them and the toilet bowl was rotten from top to bottom plus no facilities at the motel, only for the shop across the road we woulda been lost. Room rate is overprized for what u get. Officestaff unfriendly and not helpfull. Room was very badly smelly. Sheets dirty. ciggerette stains on bed sheets dirt floor no breakfast gross shower. bugs in sink and mildew smell in bathroom; police in lobby a bit alarming.
