Stayed four nights with my two grown up sons in a two bedroom suite. An ideal option that gave us all our own space without needing to have completely separate rooms. We didn't have the best of views but we coped with that! All staff were very attentive and made us feel very special. Staff dealt with a small issue we had on our last day by very kindly taking $100 off the final bill. The issue will remain private!!. Quite an expensive hotel but not a lot more expensive than other hotels - think .
all reviews » Unfortunately we arrived just after the bombs had gone off, the staff were on hand immediately to help and reassure us, they were extremely kind and upgraded us to a suite. Maureen booked us in for dinner at a local Restaurant and even sent us over her favourite cocktail while we were having dinner. Room was very comfortable and clean, location was good - will be back!!. Upon arrival they upgraded our room to a suite which I thought was very nice. The room was very comfortable and clean. Everything in the room, from the bed, the bedshits, the bathproducts etc- were very good quality. Overall one of the most comfortable stays we had. Also the hotel is in a very good neighborhood and has a good location in terms of visiting the city. Nothing to criticize, except perhaps the amount of bread in continental breakfast basket. A piece of fruit or a yoghurt might replace two pieces of bread. Only a suggestion, not a criticism. Lots of traffic on Commonwealth Ave. Took us close to 30 minutes to get to hotel the last 1/2 mile. Bar closed at certain times and no gym. Breakfast was pricey by the time the tip and delivery charge was added. Bathroom was on the small side, although understandable due to hotel being in an older building. There was nothing I didn't like. No fan in the bathroom. The bathroom is too small.Only a shower, no bathtub. Our daughter was staying with us so we had a room with a fold out couch. When we opened up it to for her to go to sleep there were no sheets on it. It was quite late -- my husband was already asleep so we didn't want to call the desk -- so i had to take a sheet off our bed to give her. We had said in our reservation that it was for 3 people so I think they should have prepared the room as such. The lighting in our bedroom (suite 211) was very inadequate -- to the point that the room felt dingy. Also, we have a need to use WiFi for business and found your system to be difficult at best. There is some relationship with ATT neccessitating that users contract with that company. This was confusing and time consuming and not at all satisfactory. With what surely is a business-related clientele, you really should contract for a more user-friendly, hotel-connected WiFi system. The bathrooms are small, but appropriately fitted. But, when, oh when, are you going to get coffee makers in the room?. Parking difficult (use their valet parking), heating system somewhat noisy. Nothing. Breakfirst service could be improved. A buffet would have been better regarding our point of view. None. Lack of coffee/tea making facilities - absurd in a hotel of this class. Slow room service. Noisy air conditioning unit - very intrusive - had to turn off at night to get to sleep. The furnace/AC was weak. I wanted the room cooler but it would not even reach 65 degrees. I smelled truck exhaust on a couple occasions from trucks outside through the ventilation. had no microwave which would have been useful in the small kitchenette, key was needed to open and close fridge, small fee for wifi. No glasses, just papercups and no kettle for hot water. You would expect better from a hotel in this category. There wasn't anything not to like. Nothing at all. Mattress on sofa bed very uncomfortable but hotel replaced it with better version immediately. Breakfast restaurant a bit tired. The buffee was only OK and the a la cart expensive. Not a thing. The bathrooms are tiny Long wait for car when valet parked. Construction noise right outside our window. No fan or window in bathroom. Lobby area was small, Breakfast choice was limited for the Children. Room may need some updating and cleaning. Staff indicated the problems come from a renovation project next door to the hotel. Somewhat pricey. They are doing away with the bathtubs! I was in a redone room first which only has a walk in shower. I moved to an older suite (not as nice) but had a bathtub. I am sorry they are doing away with all bathtubs. No workout/gym facility.
