Room was not ready..Staff helped me check in earlier at 12:00 so I could be at a festival early. Had to switch to a smoking room but room was nice and clean... All worked out nice and I liked the 12:00 check out time.. Courtesy shuttle saved cab fare as well.. The staff was great! In town for a short time, so it was nice to get a few hours of good uninterrupted sleep in a clean, comfortable room. AC was running at 64 degrees when we arrived which was a nice treat since it was scorching outside in the Texas heat!.
all reviews » The Front Desk attendent was awesome. His name was Dushaun and he made our stay extra special. He was very friendly and professional and helped us with advice about the city. He is a keeper. The staff was great Wanda on the seventh floor for breakfast was great seeing a happy face in the morning and the guys with shuttle was very help full. Welcoming staff. Clean room and facilities. Good hot breakfast. ample parking. Several restaurants around. Helpful staff, very clean and comfortable. Excellent location, especially for the money. The staff was excellent. The pillows were great! I'd like to know what kind they were. Good price, great room facilities, great staff and service! Clean!. The accomadations and the location was close to downtown. Breakfast buffet and bar. Clean rooms. Very nice lobby. Nice weight room. Very comfy toilet. Nothing. Sink had a slight delay draining, but it wasn't bad at all. Just a little annoying. Not much, it was a nice stay. the front desk could be a little more informative with out of town visitors wanted to see more of Austin but info was limited. At traffic time getting to the hotels which are at this area will take some time since it is off I-35 and another highway. Older property, beginning to show its age. Broken exercise equipment. Dirty glasses. Small bathrooms in rooms. A little bit of noise beacause of the location (near a highway and roads) and the refrigerator was also noisy. The people in gift shop were rude !. Bathroom too small. Transient in dining room at lunch and breakfast... no-one had her escorted out. The rude man in the lobby store. No king size beds for my visit. Nobody answered my phone calls when I called the house keeping or room service. Had to call front desk. Counters were down so did not get to check in until after 7pm.. After waiting almost 6 hours!! Then another guest entered my room because they double booked it. Then my keys would not work. No shuttle service like the posting said. It was a mess and I will not stay there again. They offered nothing for our inconvenience. breakfast was terrible and staff had no understadinding about Austin and its atractions. i did feels really safe in this hotel as there was a person driving around the parking area approaching people and begging for money. the security was peicfully watching it all. Had to switch rooms because the first one had no functioning ac, the second one did but it was incredibly loud. Beds were uncomfortable and found hairs on our towels. Trip was for 3 nights and we checked out on the first one, went to a much better place. This hotel does not deserve to be called a Crowne Plaza.
