What people say
This is a good alternative to visit nyc if you are not to pay over $200
for their overpriced hotels. The hotel is 10 miles north of Manhattan -
20 min ride by car. You can park at Bronx and take the subway. Our room
11 was clean and comfy. The only concern was the poor wall noise
insulation but if you are lucky to have good neighbors it is ok.
First of all, we paid $80 a night to be 40 mins by train outside of nyc
- it was a great deal, but for $80 don't expect the Waldorf! It was
clean, comfortable and an easy drive to the Dobbs Ferry train. The
breakfast was great - bagels, muffins, cereal, danishes, coffee, juice -
the only downside - you had to eat it in your room.all reviews »
Location was great. Room was comfortable, but a little shabby.
We were amused by the breakfast service, which was stand-up, without counters, tables or trays to hold the food. We commandeered a picnic table outside, and that worked well.
older looking on the outside, but the room I stayed in had been completely refurnished and was very comfortable, and a great value for the area. The fridge in the room was nice, as was the simple but convenient free continental breakfast.
It is by far best value in the NY area (outside Manhattan).
I have to stay somewhere to visit my daughter who now lives at Coop city (Bronx) and this is clean, safe and easy to get to. Thanks.
Friendly and helpful staff; good value for the price; nice flat screen TV and programming; microwave and refrigerator; good location near major thoroughfares; good shower; comfortable bed.
The price was reasonable. The Metro was a short drive away. The continental breakfast was limited but adequate. The refrigerator in the room was a pleasant surprise.
have stayed there before
they are remodeling a section of maybe upto 12 rooms
next time i travel into area will stay there again
great access to thruway.
The staff is always pleasant and kind. Although nestled between 9a and
Saw Mill Parkway, it is quiet. Rates are reasonable.
The staff is very accomodating, friendly. Rooms are clean and quiet. easy access to I-87 and Parkways.
The location between nyc and White Plains, directly off the highway.
Comfortable, good wifi, breakfast included, good ratio quality-price.
Parla (?) we not sure her name, is wonderful! Her smiling is sweat.
I liked the fact that the commute to New York City is not far.
Very neat room and comfortable bed, close to all shopping.
The location is perfect and the price too it good value.
Cheep informal accessible to all parts of nyc.
I like its right b side hwy 87.
Good customer service.
good value for money.
Very helpful staff.
Not much. I thought I could leave my car there for 2 nights while I stayed in NYC, but discovered on checkout that was no possible. A miscommunication! Had to drive into the city afterall, which was an easy drive from Ardsley. Excellent restaurant nearby motel.
The location was very convenient, and the staff were helpful. The room was clean. Breakfast was very minimal but better than nothing.
price was OK , not to far from NY city. staff was very friendly. not bad for a nights stay.
free parking, ok breakfast, nice beds, pretty clean, friendly staff.
The bed was comfortable.
Checkin was friendly.
It was comfortable.
This was no hotel...it was a motel....had a bad odor when you walked
inside the room....I Didn't even want to take a shower....to top it
off there was still spects of remnants lift inside my toilet from the
last guest....the only reason I stayed is because it was 2am at night
when I checked in.
As its our trip and we did'nt want going with our car to NYCity,it was good location not far from the train station.
The room was clean, well maintained. Staff were courteous and breakfast was
Decent.
Close to highway
low price.
I would have like to have had coffee/tea making facilities in the
room.
TV was not hooked up; sink was too high; towels too thin.
Not too much restaurant choices nearby, but a grocery store just down the road did offer a wide variety of food staples as well as prepared hot and cold foods.
It would have been nice to have two tables with a few chairs to sit down in the lobby and enjoy the continental breakfast.
Overhearing a conversation between a hotel employee and a man that she obviously knew requesting a room for a couple of hours. Toilet didn't flush properly.
all was acceptable.
Sometimes cleaning staff may forget to leave items but you can get them
quickly at the front desk or call.
Only had a shower, no bathtub. Noise of tv in next room. Apparently the
tv of the next room was affixed to the common wall between rooms and was
where headboard of my bed was. Very annoying.
Cleaning is too late. If we came back early the room won't be ready.
A little bit old, that's all.
The size of the room and the bracfast.
Walls thin. The gust that had the room next to use ,played loud music both nights we stayed there. Made if difficult to sleep.
high level of noise - close to a highway.
Very dusty carpet.
Had to wait to check in during shift change. They should be able to pause what they are doing and take care of customer first.
Didn't receive requested wake-up call.
Motel VERY basic. Outside appearance not inviting at all! We would not have stayed if we'd just driven up! Our unit door lock was not working properly. Pleasant staff tried, unsuccessfully, to fix it. We were assured all was safe, and we did not feel threatened...small town!.
There was a stale smell in the room and we had to run the air conditioner more than we would have normally to get rid of the smell. The bed was okay but it could have been more comfortable.
beds were too small, there was a bad odor in room, soaps were very small. towels were like sand paper.
trip to NYC gets quite expensive especially because you technically have to take a taxi to the train station and back which costs about the same as the train tickets even though it's only like 3 miles trip. but walking those 3 miles and then walking more in the city wasn't really an option for us either. It was a pretty good hotel for us because we saved with the free parking, but if I would fly I would definetely find something in the city.
The first night I found a crack valve in the bathroom, the cleaning
staff was not personable, not rude just not personable.. There was no
safe the store my valuables so I had to take them with me.
The location.
The fridge was dirty with food still left in it from the previous
tenant!.
The brakfast is not a brakfast.
There no place to sit (dinning room)
you need to take your pure dish to your room.
Not all the stafe are friendly some of them think they make you a favor they talk with you.
I don't think that the title Hotel is the right one I think its a Motel.
The room was non smoking, but the mattress had cigarette burns and the room smelled periodically of smoke. The door was not totally sealed so smoke from outside comes into the room.
very run down
no coffee pot
very run down.
