What people say
The front desk staff woman was incredibly nice and helpful. We felt we were in caring and capable hands. The room was HUGE and that was very appreciated. We didn't expect a kitchenette and were happily surprised. The price was affordable for a young couple without much money. The location is perfect.
Really big. Come with two rooms two queen beds and a kitchenette with
fridge, microwave and stove. Reviews have been criticizing its running
down and getting old. I didn't feel that problem and as far as the
bathroom and bed are clean, which they were, the hotel is well worth
the value.all reviews »
Staff was very friendly and accomodating. Hotel is older but clean. No
a/c but the breezes keep the building very comfortable. I would stay
here again. Dont expect a 5 star room because you arent paying for one!
Based on reviews I almost canceled but im glad I didnt.
The location was excellent-walk to restaurants, bars, farmers market and marina. It also was very quiet with a good bed. The layout was almost like 2 bedrooms and very roomy. The walls were cement block and quite quiet between rooms.
Exactly what we were looking for - a great price and really clean.
Spacious room.
Walking distance to downtown; reasonably priced; kitchenette.
Price, location, clean outside, and very nice desk person.
Walk to town. Friendly staff.
Close to downtown. I did the Anacortes Art Festival and I could walk to my booth. I was able to leave my truck parked all weekend at the motel.
Right next to the Main Street in Anacortes and fit my budget.
Location was good. Manager was friendly.
location to ferry and price was
good.
Nice central location.

Our room was changed when we found the refrigerator was defrosted and
closed up so it stunk.
comfort of beds, clean bathroom, location. funky.
It was close to the ferry and they allowed dogs.
The staff were very nice and accomodating.

Cheap.
The internet connection was good. The woman at the desk was friendly.
Great location, just a block from heart of town.
It was close to where I needed to be.
Not one thing!.
It could have been cleaner (dust on top of cabinets, under bed). That's about it and frankly, it didn't bother us. A radio in the room would be very much appreciated for those of us who don't enjoy television but love music.
Rooms were not that clean-check under the beds-Yuch. Kitchen was adequate but we had to borrow a coffee maker from our friend in another room. But overall o.k. for a short stay. Our rooms were not serviced and had to search for towels, but staff were helpful.
Reception was advertised as 24 hours - we didn't get in til after
midnight as we got the last ferry back from San Juan Island, and we woke
up the caretaker to check in. She was lovely and it didn't seem like
a problem, but we felt bad for having to do it. We would have been
better off picking up a key early in the morning, even if the room
wasn't ready.
Decor was dated, but for the price it was excellent value for money.
Lack of noise insulation; noisy neighbors were either beside us or above us, and we still got the noise.
tiny towels.
Old fashion bed spreads and tube TVs.
Sketchy neigbors. Quite a bit of noise.
Wasn't immaculately clean, and our non-smoking room reaked of smoke.
Room looked in need of serious maintenance. It had a single
lightsource/lamp with a naked light bulb. No shade. Carpet was
dirty. It was reasonably priced but pretty depressing to look at. I
would recommend Anacortes to others, but not this hotel unless they
clean it up!.
very sketchy neighborhood and guests (permanent?).
The booking we made was "book now, pay when you stay". We gave a credit card number to hold the reservation, but that card was charged immediately. Not aware of this, we used another card to pay for the room. I have spoken twice with the manager, and each time she promised a refund would be issued, but so far they have not done so. It has now been over a week since the last communication and still no refund. Beware!.
Parking is tricky.
kitchenette non-functional.
deterioration of the facility since last visit.
It's extremely run down . the outside not clean at all but the room itself was clean but old and in need of refurbishing.. I think for construction workers by the week it would be a good value and I think that is the clientele they get there.
We had clean sheets and towels and the bathroom was clean but we dropped
something and found the area under the bed and other furniture had not
been vacuumed in months, if ever. Pretty nasty.
very old, not kept up. wasn't aware of numerous families and workers who live there. felt a bit uncomfortable and very surprised how it was miss represented online. needs a lot of updating. unsafe lighting fixtures.
I think it was a homeless shelter. There were bugs smashed on the
cinderblock walls, the stairwell smelled like urine, and the carpet was
oddly sticky. I understand that we had dogs and that was a "dog
room," but that is no excuse. Lets just say that we considered it
and adventure.
We were in what was supposed be non=smoking and the scent of smoking made breathing very hard for us. everything was dirty and what appeared to be mold around the bath tub and windows. Walk ways were covered with cigarette butts and trash. The elevator really needs updating but at least it worked.
Nasty Bathroom black mold and slime on tub and grout. Caluking was cracked and leaking around tub on to floor Heater in room didn't work and it was cold had to run the shower on hot for heat. We declined 2 other rooms at hotel due to broken bed in one and really bad smells in the other.
It was old needed painting and a good cleaning.Towel rack fell the bath tub needed caulking and cleaning.
Loud, long-term residents of the motel, smoke scented rooms, no daily
maid service, rude customer service.
I have to be honest, but we didn't like the room we stayed in. Although it's spacious but it desperately needs a makeover. I noticed cracks on the walls and some of the outlets were faulty.
needed fixing up thin walls noisy would not stay there again.
The motel is quite rundown, and the premises were badly in need of a cleaning. We had a great deal of mold in our bathroom, and the carpet was badly soiled. Trash, cigarette butts, and empty bottles were on the stairways and in the parking lot. I do not feel we received value for the money.
The place was a dump. The entire facility reeked of smoke, including our non smoking room. It is very run down, neither bedroom lamp worked, the lampshade was in tatters. I was charged twice for room on my credit card. Have nothing good to say.
Very dirty. The towels were dirty and I didn't feel comfortable
touching anything. The room smelled like cheap air freshener trying to
mask the odor of cigarettes, even though it was a non-smoking room. The
staff and their friends were constantly smoking in front of the rooms.
The shower didn't drain so I had to stand in three inches of backed-
up water in order to shower.
The first room was in very poor condition with unpainted walls as well as tattered curtains, and generally dirty. We asked for a different room and that was was only a little better. We could not cancel as there was a three day advance cancellation requirement, so we were stuck for the night.
Room was filthy. Bathroom had black mildew.
