  The renovation was A+, Im a designer so Im sensitive to design and layout and flow. It was grand but the price point wasn't, that rarely happens. We had a matvelous breakfast outside on the terrace we did not have dinner I would next time. We will def return. It was quiet also a plus it felt like a very samle very well run hotel. It was a very comfortable stay except for the part about carrying all our bags ourselves! The staff was terrific inculiding in the the dining room. Staff was very helpful with directions. Wish we could have stayed longer!

  I actually did like the continental breakfast that was served - organic steel cut oats with a few nice options for toppings, hard boiled eggs from their on campus farm, pastries (croissants, quick breads, muffins, etc.), ceral, yogurt and granola. The room was nice, and the bathroom was a decent size (larger than a small ny city hotel, but not as ... what people say » large as a luxury hotel) - shower only (no tub). We arrived after 3 am, and the man at the front desk checked us in quickly so we could get to our roo - We LOVED everything. We were very anxious, as our daughter was getting ready to move into her dorm as a freshman. The staff answered so many of our questions about the move-in, the campus, and general questions about Amherst and the surrounding area. They were friendly, very patient, and amazingly, they remembered us from our last stay in early June. That made us feel very special.

  The staff were great. I didn't know how to get to the place where I had a meeting and they printed off instructions and a map for me.
