The receptionist who checked us in was amazing. She had to deal with a rude crazy woman ahead of us who was insisting that her rate was supposed to be $89, even though she could produce any paperwork backing her rediculous claim, and the entire time she remained polite and calm. We all congratulated her on her great job once the woman finally left (there were a couple of other people waiting to check in as well).
all reviews » the room on a whole was so clean. the towels, bedding, bathroom - everything smelled clean and was very comfortable. the staff was great to deal with - friendly and helpful. The staff was excellent. The room was very comfortable but may be considered dated by some. It was a real bargain when booked through letsbookhotel.com. This hotel was absolutely fabulous in every way and such excellent value for money. I felt safe on my own and the service and facility was outstanding. hot tub, exercise equipment, cleanliness, bar, friendly staff, comfortable bed. Very nice and convenient for our needs. Great value!. Staff was extremely helpful and professional. Good hotel, new and shiny in all respects. we were in Albany to make a college visit. Excellent hotel friendly and helpful staff. Closeness and convenience to the hospital. It appeared to be pretty clean. The hotel was very safe, had quality food. Hotel/amenities, location, staff,. NOt enough staff. The poor receptionist who checked us in had to deal with a rude crazy woman with absolutely no help from management or any other employees. Also, there was no one to help us with our luggage. We arrived at 4 pm on a Tuesday. nothing. The rugs on 1st floor appeared worn and unclean. Very crowded for the time I was there. Mirrored closet smudged in room. Not much to do in downtown Albany. Everything was great nothing to dislike !. Nothing bad, except restaurant was closed, sports bar was lame, so we ate elsewhere. Ice machine was broke on floor we stayed on. It would be nice if they offered some continental breakfast. Bothe my daughter and husband complained about the beds, very uncomfortable, lumpy mattress, when I called to check-out the phone was never answered, called 3 times and the line rang at least 10 times, I finally just went to the front desk. Had problem booking with the hotel and had to use third party to get a room. Got a smoking room instead of non smoking. But the main problem was the cleanliness of the bathroom. The tub didn't drain properly (I think it was room 312?) so I was standing in 2-3" of my own dirty water during my shower and then had to clean the tub for the next two people :( not nice. As I was cleaning it I noticed dried blood spots between the tub and toilet :( not good.
