  Really central. Literally minutes from everything you would want to see. Apartment was well furnished and very comfortable. We arrived way before normal check in time and our train wasn't until 2 the following day. The owner was quite happy to let us in early and stay until 2 the next way. Put it this way. Really nice guy. - Brilliant apartment in very good location right in the centre of York, but still nice and quiet. Very comfortable and good value, we would recommend to Friends and Family and visit again ourselves.

  A very well presented and comfortable apartment just a 10 minute walk into York center.We were met by the owner Shaun who was polite and helpful who supplied us with a welcome pack containing the basics of milk,eggs etc...nice touch.Would recommend staying here to anyone interested in historic York.Looking forward to a return visit in the near fut... what people say » ure. - Very comfortable, clean and modern apartment within easy walking distance to York centre. Friendly and helpful host. Small things that make our stay more like home such as paper towels, olive oil for cooking and summer weight quilt on the bed were much appreciated.   Lovely welcome from owners, they left fresh bread, milk etc for our arrival which was excellent touch, apartment spacious and modern and in brilliant location to York no more than 10 mins walk. Highly reccomend. - What a find - exceptional communication and service from Peter the owner.   We were amazed! Not wanting the formality of a hotel and having stayed in luxury apartments in coastal resorts for our summer holidays we thought we would try The Lawrance. Only two words can described our feelings when we unlocked the door - absolutely fabulous! I would not hesitate to recommend this to any friends or relatives wanti - Blown away by the plush, stylish apartment. We visited York with my parents & this 2-bedroom apartment suited us much better than two separate hotel rooms, as it provided a social space (kitchen, dining table, sofas and TV) Incredibly convenient for walking to key places in York; train station, the Shambles, the Minster and, highlight of the trip for my husband, the National Rail Museum. The lovely Heather at reception is also wonderfully helpful :)
