I can only describe our stay as absolutely..... flippin..... fabulous. The staff were welcoming from start to finish. The apartment was immaculate. The extras (champagne, beers, gin, vodka, soft drinks, chocolates, fruit basket, food to make a cooked breakfast, fresh bread and much, much more) were excellent. The bed was both huge (queen size) and extremely comfy. There was nothing we wanted or needed that wasn't there. Even a dishwasher and washing machine! Perfect.

Upgrade to top suite, much appreciated. Impeccable, top notch service. Good car parking facilities. Convenient short cab ride into York city centre, also good for racecourse. - Everything. Stayed in the courtyard area and it was delighful. The room was fantastic. The staff couldn't have been more helpful. Certainly will be going back there again.

The building and room were very impressive. There was a relaxed atmosphere and I felt like I was experiencing a little bit of luxury whilst staying there. Breakfast was a delight.
When we arrived we were shown round and given a complimentary cup of tea. I think u get cookies too as several people saidvthey were coming altho we never got any. But we weren't fussed and I think that this was a wonderful touch.

I informed the owners of my arrival time which was after their cut off, but they were there to greet us with a map of the city and some extra local tips.(other reviews suggest being left stranded by the owners, I would suggest these people didn't inform them of late arrival!) We stayed in the riverside Merchant Exchange apartment and the location was brilliant, just a few minutes walk to all the shops, restaurants & tourist attractions.
