Staff very accommodating, fantastic value for the money - lovely (if a wee bit old and tired) room with very carefully thought out details such as quality hot chocolate as well as tea and coffee in the room (with real cream for the drinks - not powered stuff). Hair dryer, TV etc. Great location to walk about York, on site parking too. Classy place, peaceful, lovely grounds. A winner. - Dan

the staff from our arrival were more than helpfull, and went out there way to find us a nice resturant to eat in and made the reservation for us. the hotel and the staff were brilliant! - Jamie

The family room was a lovely surprise! We had struggled to find a family room for 5 and this was perfect. A four poster bed for us and a separate room for the children with television/ DVD player. Very comfy beds. Everywhere was maintained to the highest standard and beautifully clean. The swimming pool was fantastic - my two girls even went for a late swim with dad while I put their 3 year old brother to bed. - Anonymous

Pleasant, helpful, professional staff with an effortless no fuss approach, relaxing spa afternoon, evening meal cooked to perfection with superb quality service. we have stayed in executive accomodation elsewhere that wasn't as luxurious as the standard room (with king size bed) we booked here, overall wonderfull experience. - Anonymous
