Very clean bedroom and bathroom the bedlinnen and towels were beautiful and white and the owners had obviously given much thought to the décor of not only the bedroom but the dining room as well. The cooked breakfast was freshly done and well presented, a really nice stay and we will be back.
The family room we stayed in was clean, well appointed, with thoughtful little extras. The bed was comfortable and the shower was great. Our hosts were also really friendly with lots of local knowledge.all reviews »
The Guesthouse was very nice, the staff very welcoming and willing to assist with anything needed. The location was perfect offering a lovely walk into York via the riverside pathway.
The location in respect of public transport from the centre of York was excellent. Room at the back was very quiet inspite of the property being on a main road. Breakfasts were good.
Pinfold Cottage is perfectly located for visits to the designer retail outlet but quite a distance from York City centre. It is small but comfortable with an excellent breakfast.
As soon as me and my partner arrived we were greeted by the owner Nicky who made us feel welcome straight away. Pinfold Cottage is beautiful and i would return.
Everything was so welcoming from walking through the door to leaving our stay.
The breakfast was amazinga and nothing was too much trouble for them.

Towels did not dry overnight due to somewhat inadequate heating in the shower room.
we paid £80 for a double room which was like a ,
cupboard 'under the stairs' one of us had to sit on the bed to allow the other to pass.The bed was comfortable but the room was not worth the money we paid it was minute.
