  We were greeted by a very friendly man who couldn't do enough for us. He allowed us into our room much earlier than usual as we wanted to get ready for a wedding nearby. The room was lovely, clean and had all the necessary bits and bobs we needed (including a hand-held magnifying mirror!). Beds were comfortable, the bathroom was light and clean. ... what people say » Breakfast was good, plenty of it and good, prompt service. Would recommend this hotel to others. - A lovely inn with good, clean rooms and a good sized ensuite bathroom ..and, at times, a working TV... sinceours didn't work!. However, everybody pulled out all the stops to get the TV in working order; alas, it was not to be. We were offered free drinks as compensation in the pub, which we appreciated very much. Other than this amusing story, we had a great time in this lovely place and would definitely go back!

  The hotel was in an ideal location in Windermere. We have just purchased a boat at the marina, and this was ideal for us. The hotel was excellent, food excellent, facilities excellent, and staff extremely helpful. We were greeted on the front desk by a gentleman called Giles, extremely helpful, brilliant first class service.   We found this delightful place very near to the village center. The owner and her daughter were extremely polite, caring and helpful, on our arrival they had provided us with loads of guides and plenty of info for our hiking trip across and around the lakes. And breakfast every morning was something to look forward to at this place, most attentive... what people say » indeed. We highly recommend anyone to try them. P.S. Loved the 'honesty box/drawer', where you were asked to leave 50 pence for any mineral water bot - We had room 3 with the 4 poster bed, it was soooooo comfortable! Diane the b&b owner was very hospitable, she tailored our stay to meet our needs, my friend left her electric cigarette charger at home so Diane let us use her personal computer to charge it. Also, when we got there Diane had left leaflets and a map on our bed, this helped so much during our stay. The breakfast was nice and the location is perfect, a 5 minute walk in to the village of windemere and a 20 minute walk to bowness

  Upon arrival we were greeted in a friendly manner. The whole place was fantasticly decorated to a high standard. Very clean, comfortable and spacious rooms.   We chose this B&B based on the high rate provided by letsbookhotel.com's users. I believe that everything happens for a reason and choosing this B&B couldn't have made me happier. Yana and Ian are two of the loveliest people I have ever known and provided an excellent service at all times. I don't eat meat and Yana and Ian made sure th - The couple who run the guest house, Yana and Ian, are lovely, very welcoming and accomodating. The guest house is well kept, clean and the breakfast is good quality. They also, when we stayed, offered little 'extras' in the mornings I.E. as it was over Easter home made hot-cross buns and little chocolate gifts were avaliable on the breakfast table.   Ian was a very good host, he was friendly and informative and easy to talk to. This stay was made more enjoyable with his personal touch. He prepared delightful English & Vegetarian breakfasts for us. We loved his mushrooms and coffee. The room is small but cosy. This isn't a luxury hotel so for the price we paid, it is great value-for-money.... what people say » We all got restful sleep. The mattresses are very comfortable. All in all, the guesthouse is affordably priced.   Great value B&B for myself and my baby. Our single room was upgraded to a tripple, cot and high chair were provided at no extra cost. Tv in lounge which we were able to use (but didn't).   We had a wonderful stay at Firgarth. We were greeted as soon as we arrived with a cup of tea and really helpful advice and suggestions for things to do. Our room was very cosy and cleaned every day; breakfast was delicious and made to our particular requests. They simlpy could not do enough for us. They suggested places to see and eat. The rooms are excellent, clean and tidy. We'll be returning at some point with friends of ours.
