  The room was lovely and clean and despite its small size, had everything you needed-TV, dvd player, hairdryer, shampoo, conditioner,coffee- making facilities. The bed was super comfortable and the room was kept clean throughout our stay. Breakfast was delicious-we had both the "breakfast in bed" and cooked breakfast options and really enjoyed ours... what people say » elves. Ideal location as well and nice and quiet in the evenings so you can get a good night's sleep after a day's walking. - Leigh, the owner, was fabulous she was very accommodating, beautiful accommodation. Fab location, within walking distance of two towns. She covered all the bases re local information and was fab value for money. We didn't fancy full English so continental breakfast served to our room was a lovely treat and included in room price, lovely touch. We will be visiting again.

  My partner and I stayed at The Ravensworth 24-28 March and all i can say it what a lovely hotel. The staff are very welcoming and helpful. It was my birthday during the stay and after a day out I returned to find a card and gift from the owners. A lovely touch. Excellent accomodation. - A nice warm welcome on arrival, clean comfortable room, excellent full english breakfast, staff were attentive but not intrusive and very well mannered, also useful was the information given in room for local places to have evening meals which we found very helpful. Hotel was in a great location for getting around the Lake District.

  We were met with a pot of tea and cake which was lovely after our journey. Paul was very helpful re things to do in the area and lots of info on local walks etc. The room was small but had everything we could possibly have needed and the bed was so comfortable! The staff were extremely friendly and welcoming and I also found that the recommendations of places to eat and sites to see were superb. I would definately stay again and strongly encourage others to do so. An all round excellent hotel which is perfect for a stay in the beautiful surrounding area.

  We stayed in 4 different places in England and this one was by far the best. Lovely and very clean. Dick and Sue have paid attention to every detail and our stay was very comfortable. We were treated like family. Quiet and comfortable location. My husband had to do a business conference call late at night to work with people in - The property is very well maintained , comfortable and warm. It is ideally situated as a base for visiting the area.The welcome and attention from Dick and Sue was second to none . They were both very friendly, helpful and definitely added considerably to our enjoyment of our stay in the area.We stayed with elderly parents who have limited mobility and they were made very welcome .The stairs to the rooms on the first floor presented little problem to them.We have no hesitation in recommending

  Staying at Beech House has totally restored my faith there are guest houses that go beyond anything a hotel can offer. Maureen was so friendly, warm and inviting we just did not want to leave. The room was cleaned daily, the breakfast cooked to perfection and early check-in was not at all a problem. We would definitely return! - It's the best place I have stayed ever. Very kind and thoughtful staff. We brought our 1.5 years old for a leisure weekend. When we arrived the room, toys and a trolley have been prepared for her. The breakfast was wonderful. My wife and my daughter were really happy during the stay. Best place ever!

Enjoyed my stay, many thanks. - Hosts, Wills & Pauline were very friendly, meet & greet as well as discussions at different times, it was almost like being with friends. Room 9 was clean with a lovely view to the west. Bathroom was well sized, clean with modern fittings. Breakfast was plentiful, good homestyle cooking. Hope to come back again.

  Very quiet and adequate. Beds clean and comfy. A lovely old house full of character which had a nice feel about it but very tired and dated. No problem with that as price was fair. Decorators were coming in as we were leaving so hotel is making effort. Wi-Fi very fast and reliable. This old building must be expensive to upkeep. - The bed was ver... what people say » y comfortable and we were given a lift to our car which was parked three miles away from the manager, Andy who was giving a site seeing tour to four ladies from oversees. Rather than catch a bus he offered to drop us off on his way. I don't think this sort of service would come from a 5 star international hotel.
