The room was big with the beach view. There was a tea pot and overstuffed chairs so you can sit there with your tea and see the beach. The location is the best because it is at the end of the esplanade so it is not as noisy as the other hotels. Just around the corner are great bars and restaurants. I liked the bright colors and deco in the rooms. The breakfast was made to order. There is parking 50m from the hotel. Keith works really hard, long hours, but he has a gem.
all reviews » The hotel is in a great location and the views are beautiful. The the room was excellent, comfortable, well set out, and very tastefully decorated. The continental breakfast was very varied, tasty and ample and the owner was really nice and very helpful. Best hotel I have stayed in for a long time. I would definitely recommend it. The chocolate marshmallow tea cakes and toffees in the room! Such a nice touch. We stayed in room 6, the front window looked right over the sea and the bathroom window over the harbour. Breakfast was lovely after falling out of the front door right onto the beach for an early morning walk. Lovely, we would definitely stay again. We had a great stay, comfy well decorated and stylish room. Beautiful view. A very helpful and courteous owner. The continental breakfast was very nice, but we were greedy and paid for the cooked breakfast on-top. That was well worth it, and very, very tasty. Excellent all round B and B in a prime location between Wweymouth Harbour and the beach. keith the manager was great we were there for a fishing competition and although we should have booked out of room on the sunday, keith allowed us to keep it and our luggage till we returned from the boat at 4pm fantastic service. Could have done with chosing our own fruit on the breakfast and also would have liked to have seen cornflakes or bran flakes some other choices of cereal. Bed was so hard, it was areally good size and I am sure not a cheap one but it meant hardly any sleep. Bathroom could have been cleaned better, to me rather that than the clean bed linen. These are just really picky stuff, well apart from the bed. The 'hidden' cost of some breakfast items. This was not originally advertised on the website for the hotel. The stairs to the upper floors could be quite difficult for some people to manage. nothing. Steps up to the room - not suitable for those with walking difficulties Parking - not available at location - public car park short distance away and not secure. Nothing really. A few minor details but these were purely personal and did not affect our stay at all. Only a few little things, bathroom door handle was to close to door frame which made it difficult to turn and there seemed to be no extractor fan so the window needed to be opened each time you had a shower. Box of tissues would have been nice. Leaving. No parking permits available when we arrived but wasn't an issue. only niggle no free parking. Nothing. Surcharge for cooked breakfast - not clear when booked. Ground floor room, prefer upper room when we next visit. Nothing. nothing of note. No complaints whatsoever. the weather!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. Nothing. The Hotel is obviously a work in progress, but we didn't mind that - it will be good when the refurbishment is finished. Only continental breakfast included in price. It was rather cold on times. open shower in room lack of privacy cold room. no elivator. Having to pay extra for an English Breakfast. Although it was cheaper to go to any one of the many cafe's to get the same. It said breakfast was included but didnt make clear till we arrived that it was only continental breakfast so we had to pay out for breakfast elsewhere should of been more clear at time of booking!. Parking a nightmare, not much breakfast choice, very noisey, expensive for what it is,.
