The hostess was very friendly and chatty and took the time to speak to you. She was welcoming and helpful. She was very knowledgeable of the area which was useful. The rooms were lovely. Ours had a 300 year-old four poster and the room original exposed beams. The breakfast was well cooked, tasty and ample. we didn't need lunch! On the whole a wonderful stay. The welcome was warm and friendly, and being offered a pot of tea after a long drive is wonderful. Janet could not have done more for us. I usually stay in faceless hotels but decided to opt for something smaller just for a change, and this was a genuinely great find. Breakfast was lovely, and they accommodated our early start. Thanks to all at Park Cottage.
all reviews » Everything about Park Cottage was good, Janet and her husband were very welcoming, went out of their way to make you feel very welcome. Gave lots of information of places to visit, and best places to eat. Very clean, excellent location for castle and town centre. Would recommend very highly, will always try to book in Park Cottage when in Warwick again. The character of the cottage is interesting and the couple who run the b & b are obviously very proud of its history. The location is a good distance for walking into Warwick and if you want to visit the castle. The stair to the first floor is very steep so not suitable for elderly or disabled visitors but they may well have a ground floor bedroom. Janet & her husband are very nice & friendly. Our room was lovely, very clean & comfy, the location is good the town & castle are all walking distance.You can park your car at the hotel car park which is a bonus to.Overall my wife & i were very pleased with our stay at park cottage.One more thing the breakfast is exellent. Perfect location for Warwick and the surrounding area. Good variety and quality of eating places close to Park Cottage. I would prefer to be left in peace to enjoy my breakfast rather than chatting to the hosts. They were very pleasant but I felt they might have been trying a little too hard to be hospitable. Every thing was perfect and nothing to fault. The beds were not comfortable. The mattress was fine but both beds were on a downward slope and we all had 2 unsettled nights sleep. It really wouldn't take much to level the beds. didn't mind that the floor was s. The early breakfast would have liked a little bit longer to stay in bed. Thou it was good to have a choice of time. Nothing. Nothing. Just one small thing in our room the shower was too powerful for the shower base to cope had to keep turning the shower off to let water escape. There were no negatives. Nothing. We stayed in the Sarah room and found the decor a little dated. That I had to leave. Nothing. nothing. The damp in bathroom, towels didnt dry during night. Nothing. Bit of road noise.
